  1. Shootin’ lawyers isn’t murder, it’s harvesting.

    Shootin’ lawyers is constitutional.

Cheney should take lawyers goose huntin’ and switch to a 12 gauge shotgun or oozi.  2gunsfiring

  2. (A media primer)

See the media. See the media milk this for all its worth. Milk, media, milk!

    crazy

  3. I’ll bet she needs a good stiff, uh, scotch after her telecasts.

This whole alcohol thing is getting too strange. The rumors earlier were that Bush was back on the bottle, secretly drinking in the WH, blah blah blah, and, of course, ZERO evidence. Just say it and it is so. Or, as the King of Siam said, So let it be written, so let it be done!

    Asshats.

BUT, in the spirit of great humor that this incident has spawned, go here to hear the hilarious “Cheney’s Got A Gun.” The best line, IMHO, is: “Dick Cheney’s got a gun, the safety’s come undone, Cindy Shehan better run...”

  4. Ya know Dick Cheney has 1 small thing in common....

The media latched on to Jimmy’s Killer Rabbit for a week too…

found more info when i was reading a article on presidents/vice presidents and their embarrasing moments and it talked about Jimmy getting attacked by a rabbit on a fishing trip..

  5. TO: Richard Cheney

    FROM: rudebadger

    RE: Your next hunting trip.

Here’s my advice for your next trip to Texas.  Use a 12 gauge.  Shoot a reporter.  Drink a beer in celebration.

Posted by rudebadger    United States   02/17/2006  at  07:59 PM

  6. Sorry for ripping your memo bit Skipper, but I thought the beer was important.

  7. The media continues to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Stick a fork in this *story*. It’s done.

  9. If they can get a covey of those reporters down there… well ... there’s a lot of empty land with potential holes just waiting to be filled up. I’d start with the asshats of the White House press corps. I saw that feeding frenzy on Monday, they were fit to be tied. One of them wanted Cheney to resign!! What a buncha maroons.

  10. At the risk of sounding favorable to Bill Clinton, Cheney accidently shooting his friend is no more important than Bill Clinton getting a blowjob from Monica Lewinsky.  The only difference is that Bill Clinton actually comitted an impeachable offense
(lieing under oath) and Dick Cheney only placed the health, safety and personal privacy of his friends ahead of the interests of the Washington Press Corps.

Note to Washington Press Corps and other members of the MSM:

    GET A LIFE!

  11. 2nd comment

They say that there’s no one harder on drinking than a reformed drunk - well - I’m a reformed Democrat (still registered that way, not sure why).  How has the party of Roosevelt, Truman and John Kennedy (forget Ted Kennedy, I can’t believe that he’s really Jack Kennedy’s brother) managed to give birth to the lunatic demagogs of the current Democrats and why won’t they return to practical reality?

I understand the answer to the first part (coalition born from Civil Rights Movement, anti Viet Nam War movement and Watergate), it’s the second part that escapes me.  The Civil Rights movement succeded in achieving it’s goals and degenerated into a cult of victimhood.  The Viet Nam War has been over for 30 years and it’s time to heal our remaining wounds from that time. Johnson is dead.  Nixon is dead.  When will the Democrats notice that we’re 6 years into the 21st Century and the United States of America stands alone as the big dog on the planet?  When will they acknowledge that lots of folks like to attack the top dog, just because he is the top dog.  I like the way we live and I want to see it continue.

  12. So now Cheney is a druken rampaging lunatic.  The whole thing is enough to drive me to drink......oh....never mind!  cheers!

  13. Once upon a time, the MSM looked down on tabloids like the National Enquirer, but now they have surpassed them in providing petty subject matter, wild suppostion and really shallow presentation.  People magazine is a step up from MSM TV and many newspapers.  At least they have some detail and an occasional hot chick.

Some say great minds talk about ideas, average minds talk about events, and mediocre minds talk about people.

Well, I haven’t seen any discussion from MSM on the idea, the brilliant strategy, of driving a wedge up the middle of the muslim crescent and establishing a free nation there, of partitioning the muslim world into islands of freedom to spread it farther; oh no, they worry more about whether Cheney took a drink or who made so and so’s gown at the Oscars.  So I’m supposed to listen to some twat standing in front of a blue screen of the White House reading her soap opera script?  Or Brian Williams sounding for all the world like he believes he is channeling God Almighty?

    Nottachance.

  14. Z Woof!!! Nice to see you back!!! If you are in your home State you’ll notice that it’s as cold as Grandholmes heart outside. What say we get the ball rolling so we can change the color of this State?

  15. BatCrusher: Socialists Granholm, Stabenow and Blue Cross of Michigan have got to go.

I think of them as talaban.

All Republican politicians will look to Michigan’s Senator Zandstra after the 2006 elections for advice.

It won’t even be fair having PHD’s in Public Policy and Economics Jerry Zandstra debate the over-weight and under-educated, evil and ugly shit Debbie Stabenow, the bitch.

Zandstra has this all planned out.  I trust him.

Less Politicians panderin’ to greedy Blue Cross and more Patriots fightin’ for the taxpayers.

Michiganiacks Unite / Vote Zandstra for US Senate

  16. It’s difficult to avoid the inference that NBC’s obsessive need to smear the vice-president is unconnected to Scott McClellan’s exchange with David Gregory, or David Gregory’s previous backhanding by President Bush before a Parisian audience.

  17. Hey, I don’t care if Cheney had a Everclear I.V. drip when the guy hunting with him got shot.  Cheney didn’t keep shooting, he didn’t run.  He notified the proper authorities after his friend had been given first aid.  He did the right thing after the accident.  Now, could anyone tell me why Cheney would be willing to assist the hostile press by volunteering up this story?  Hell, the press, at one time, could ferret out a story.  Now, they wait for spoon feeding time.

  18. Thanks for that link, Francis, I followed your link to the transcript too. Looks like Dubya put him down but good. My favorite part was the immediate slapdown “Very good. The guy memorizes four words, and he plays like he’s intercontinental.” then goes on to throw in two words of Spanish. party

I wasn’t aware of the background with Gregory. It goes toward explaining why he’s such an ass in the WH briefing room. He was in rare form on Monday. I had heard that there was an off camera exchange where someone started calling McClellan names. I’m betting that it was Gregory.

  19. Heck some of the MSM has started to cite the National Enquirer and such as Relative sources to repeat stories…

Posted by Infinity    United States   02/18/2006  at  01:48 PM

  20. The transcript was interesting… and good.. thanks.. especially surprising to see Chirac’s response supporting what Bush had just said about the protests and the right of people to protest in a democracy and it didn’t really reflect the majority..

Posted by Infinity    United States   02/18/2006  at  01:56 PM

  21. my personal take on this whole thing was..

this delay was intentional.. calculated..  after all the bad press, years of negativity and hostility to Cheney, Bush, and the administration in general by the MSM.. especially the White House press “corps”..

I betcha Dick (and GW) decided, instead of giving the story to the news hounds at the White House, let his friend give the release to the local newspaper down there in Texas..

THAT my friends is what has the MSM pissed off, not the delay.. it’s the fact that THEY did not get the scoop first..

This was Dick’s own way of sending a big finger finger finger to the mainstream press..
