Navy: So Far So Good

 

1. CSS Virginia ...  the heart beats faster.

   Been reading about a Virginia family ... The Langhornes. One of whom became Lady Astor and even entered Parliament. Married to the Waldorf family here. I don’t know where I’m going with this. Ignore me.
   It’s the CSS Virginia.

2. Fun Fact; There were 2 USN Maines back in the day. We all know the fate of the first but the second was built in the 19 oughts and was scrapped in the twenties.

3. Damn, that thing is longer than a Ticonderoga class cruiser!
   It also has a higher displacement by damn near 5000 tons… Methinks someone is playing with the books a bit. Looks like she is better armed as well…
