  1. “When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, “it means what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.”

“The question is,” said Alice, “whether you CAN make words mean so many different things.”

“The question is”, said Humpty Dumpty, “which is to be master - that’s all.”

  2. Back in 91, the Reverand Al was stabbed by a “crazed Caucasian” (his words not mine) using a butter knife. Only the drive by media would call it an assassination attempt.

  3. Here is your answer Skipper:

‘The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.’ Edmund Burke

I have written to Ms Sheehan a number of times, just sent her GSFP (which is in the process of applying for a 501c3 status (wow, 2+ years into it!)) this video link (in hopes she might understand what the majority of military families really feel)

I just blasted my ‘representative’ for his ‘knocking the Republicans off one at a time’ comment (re: OIF) told him, that thanks to the comment I will never, ever vote for a Democrat again.

I email to the President about once a week on whatever is the hottest political topic of that week - and get the weekly White House update.

I email to Nancy Pelosi about once a month to chastize her for her failure to live up to the bi-partisan, civility in government, no pork, end of the culture of corruption, faux diplomat trips and so on.

I respond to many op-eds (the most blatant of lies) and I also aplaud those who tell the truth.

I come to a number of conservative sites and express my opinion.

And I read the leftist drivel and (usually) lies - must be cognizant of exactly what the opposition is really saying. For unlike the left I won’t take a distortion, out of context quote from someone else and run with it as a truth, ever.

While it makes me a tad distrustful of the words I read and hear - I can say without a doubt the majority of Right, Republican and Conservative voices write and speak the (provable) truth than the Left, Democrat and Liberal voices. Thus I will continue to side on the Right.

And those who are too ignorant (ignorance can be fixed, stupid is forever), too lazy and too uncaring to even participate - I do not care how you feel or if you disagree. Participate or suffer living under MY RULES. It is called the majority, and it use to be how this country was Governed.

Now it is by special interests, money and paid agitators - such a shame.

We need to stand up to it and Fight Back. Now before it’s too late.

  4. Whatever happened to civility and common sense in this country anyway? How did so many people become this mean spirited and angry? More importantly, how do we stop it?

I absolutely agree with this, and have been wrecking my brain how come. Of cource civility is a far cry from what it once was, but this is something of other order altogether. A look at just an average comments section of any random news outlet shows just what I mean: personal attacks, shouting matches, expletives, whatever - they don’t even debate a point! Saw the other day on a Dutch site, so ironical: “we have freedom of speech in this country, so the queen can shut up”. Apparently the freedom of speech doesn’t extend to her majesty. But seriously, can this behavior have something to do with the terrorist attacks? It’s just like a shreshold was crossed and ever since all normal rules of civility don’t apply any more? Anybody have an insight here?

  6. If you have an urge to apologize for any bad thoughts then you can go to this website.  Click on the videos.  NSFW if you work for CBS/MSNBC/Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton.
