Nap, or not to nap?

  1. Cool story re: your sister. Life’s funny like that sometimes.

When I was in the Army I learned to doze off while standing in formation. My subconscious woke me up whenever a command came that required us to change position. I wasn’t the only one to develop that particular skill.

So yeah, nap whenever possible. Goodness knows my students do…

  3. I’m not that lazy wardmama. When my wife shows up sans clothing, I’m usually ‘up’ for some physical exertion. Pun intended.

  4. Go for the nap.

How could you not know you have an adopted sister? Or are you using a broader definition of the word than the rest of us do?

  5. My family tree is getting complicated, Drew. My parents divorced when I was four. Dad remarried, had three more kids (my two half-brothers and a half-sister) and died of cancer ten years later. His widow (who I’m very good friends with) then remarried. The guy she married had a 3-yr-old adopted daughter, who I’ve just met on Facebook. (not counting all the other kids they’ve adopted since they married, most of whom I’ve also not met.) So, I don’t really know what else to call her, Drew. She was already an adult on her own by the time I got back in touch with that side of the family. ‘Sister’ is the best I can come up with.

  6. My father was the master of the power nap.  He says he learned it while in the Army.  Vertical, awake.  Horizontal, asleep.  Well, except for marital duties!

  7. Heh, learned that sleep anywhere trick in Army basic. Perfected it as a Production line start-up engineer. We had to have someone around at all times for the first couple of weeks during all new production line upgrades & new starts. 14 hour days, 7 days a week for a couple months sometimes. An unused control room, a chair, my pager & a jacket as a blanket, page me if you need me. LoL
