  1. Dude,

    That’s a rant.  Godspeed.

  2. Superb rant.

I am convinced that democrats and their supporters live their lives without believing in any sort of objective reality. They do not believe in truth, objective facts, evidence, logic, or reason. Everything said or done is, in their eyes, political spin. According to them, the words a person uses mean nothing at all, and nobody’s actions can be considered criminal (or considered at ALL) unless it furthers their cause.

What is their cause? To do anything possible they can do to avoid the rules of objective reality. They fear truth and honesty, because they have subverted the truth within their own lives since the 60s. The rate of their own inevitable collapse is accelerating.

  3. The problem with the fellow here in Illinois, ultimately, was not his sexual deviations. He lied. To everyone. But, mostly to the party leaders who got to wear shit on their faces because they backed him in his lies. Ryan put his money on the gamble that the judge would not unseal the record - he lost. It happens.

Please, don’t use his sorry ass an an example. A person who would lie to the people supporting him - DESERVES EXACTLY WHAT HE GOT.

  4. I would like to know just how much republican reticence to throw the book at democrats is due to information in those 900 or more FBI files that accidently got transfered to the DNC computer system.

  5. The Republicans need a “pit bull” type of person like lizard head James Carvel.  The Democrats sick him on something and he doesn’t give up.

One of the problems is the major news media.  They only report to the American Public what they want them to hear.  We all know how biased they are and I firmly believe they hold back the truth or the whole story so they can sway the way people believe.  Republicans may have said and done a lot more but we will never hear it.

Wouldn’t it be nice if every conservative who believes in truth bought just one share stock in one of the major networks and then gave proxy of their share to our Bevelonant Dictator, Vilmar, to vote that share as he sees fit.  With a possible controlling interest or at least control of enough shares that if they were sold immediately it would bring extreme financial difficulty to the network, we could get some fair reporting on their news networks.  Just think, no more Dan Blather or Tom Brokedick, instead we have the Minister of Propaganda reporting the truth, whether good or bad on both Democrats and Republicans and demanding accountability.  Thing is folks, it could be done.

  6. Great rant. It long overdue for the Republicans to play the same game these socialists play. It’s like pretending that the Muslims like us, are peace loving and would never harm us. That is the way the republicans have behaved towards the Democrats in all their dealings, chivalry doesn’t count anymore, the Democrats wan’t a one party system - Theirs -and it’s decidedly communist.

  7. I agree that the problem may lie more with the major media than with the Republicans’ pacifism.  The hypocrisy of the Democrats simply does not get reported.  The Brokaws, Jennings and Rathers of the world are smart guys—they know the Democrats are hypocrites, but they choose not to comment on it.  When the Republicans do comment on Democratic hypocrisy, they are accused of “going negative” or “engaging in the politics of personal desruction.” Even when Republicans don’t comment—like the Sandy Berger story—what does the media do?  It reports about the Democrats questioning the timing of the leak rather than reporting about the leak itself.  The Democrats have plenty of surrogates willing to take the low road and go on the record with the media and speculate as to the horrible motives of Republicans who make innocent (but silly) comments like Trent Lott.  They also are willing to go on record with their opinions on why the Berger story was leaked when it was.  The media, with its obvious liberal slant, then reports those Democrat’s comments as news—giving the impression that those comments ARE the news.

Republicans are not going to get a fair shake in the media on these issues.  Live with it.  Don’t stoop to their methods.  Don’t give up.  Point out hypocrisy when and where you can.  Be armed with the facts.  Have faith that the American people are not as dumb as the media and the Democrats count on them to be.

I would propose giving one of the moderate speakers at the Republican convention (or Zell Miller if he could be convinced to do so), assigned to the task of attacking Democrat hypocrisy at the convention during prime time.  But it can’t be a gratuitous attack or a rant.  It must be methodical and it must point to specific facts.  And it cannot be overboard—the facts must be indisputable.  Then let the liberal spin doctors at CNN, MSNBC and the networks put that in their pipe and smoke it.  I think it could work.

  8. I too wish they would stand up for the party and the US. If they don’t maybe it’s time we find new leaders for us or we find a new party to support.

  9. We right wingers need to spend more time looking in mirrors. A very wise former partner of mine once told me that the abiding weakness of the right is lust for money and the abiding weakness of the left is lust for power.

Their default switch is set almost permanently on politics. Ours is set on doing what it takes to make money, namely work or business. For them money is a distraction from real life; for us politics is a distraction from real life.

There is always some crossover, but the idea seems fundamentally true to me.

How can we right wing madmen use this? I dunno, gotta go to work.

  10. I agree 100% Deb. Problem is they still haven’t %^&*@$#! someone to take Ryan’s place. NO ONE wants that job.

  15. > Americans have got to realize we are engaged
    > in a war for the future of the United States.

How preposterously absurd.  This reminds me of the “battle for the existence of the German people” that another leader talked about some seventy years ago.  It was a lie then and the equivalent version is a lie now.

  16. So, Mr. Cowan, you do not think the Islamist terrorists want to see the downfall of the US?

Your comments suggest we allow them to take it over.

If that conflict ever comes to our shores you do not to ever let me know where you live!

  17. Maybe he meant a war ON the future of the United States. That’s what it appears to me to be.
