It is hugely important that Israel carry on and show the U.S. the way forward. All “aid” to all primitive tribal societies that espouse/allow violence should be terminated. Overwhelming force should be used for the general good of the civilized world. Bush, notwithstanding he has done some good in this regard, should be embarrassed-overwhelming force, George W.- that’s the way forward.

If I were half as convinced that this would end in any way other then the Israelis eventually going back and cowing themselves, I would be celebrating.
As it is, I am not cheering yet.
As I said before, the only way to talk to these swine was the very same way that Kitchner “Held Dialogue” with the Madhist Sudanese.
If I remember correctly, Kitchner’s strategies ushered in what passes for perhaps the most prosperous era Sudan enjoyed since the Nubians were evicted from Egypt.
I only hope Israel recognizes this.

If my memory serves me right, inn the 40s the Jewish fighters killed a bunch of British soldiers but we all got over it, also in the 60s every arab country around Israel invaded, and opened a whole can of ass whup on themselves, they then lost some land to ensure the victors security and safety, seems ok to me. a newly invented country calling itself Paleswine then became un invented, mostly by its Arab axis co-partners. A question, do the same people who believe in the rights of terrorists believe in global warming?? is this a litmas test for madness?

I’d say you’ve got it pretty much right, Chris. The whole concept of terrorists having rights is insane at best. Somehow, Israel has become the only country in the world that isn’t permitted to defend itself. Go figure.
It’s unfortunately true that some British soldiers were killed as part of the birth of Israel. Fortunately, the number was fairly small. The bombing of the King David Hotel (British headquarters) makes an interesting example. The Israelis gave the Brits enough warning to clear the building in time. The British didn’t believe that anyone would announce the time and place of a bombing and didn’t evacuate. I don’t think the British ever disbelieved the Israelis afterwards.
It’s an interesting contrast with the Palestinians. The Israelis wanted to destroy the British headquarters, but didn’t want to kill anyone in the process. The Palestinians are happiest when they kill people, preferably innocent people.
I’ve always been amazed at the restraint that the Israelis have shown when dealing with the Palestinians. For that matter, I’ve always been amazed at the restraint the Israelis have shown when dealing with defeated Arab countries.
I wish you guys could have listened in to some reporting and interviews on BBC-4 (radio) last night. Really I do because MISERY LOVES COMPANY!
Gee, talk about angry. I didn’t mean to listen actually. Went upstairs and turned on floor heater (we got colder then Iceland last couple of days and will continue the rest of the week)So anyway I turned on the radio as well, and got busy doing stuff using the radio simply as background, while waiting for my favorite radio show of all time. Just a Minute. That lasted about a second or two as I realized what was on and I dropped everything else and listened to the newscast/interviews.
Some schmuck from some dept. of the UN saying how awful Israel was and they had to stop the killings at once. Or words close to it. Then an American voice, some lady attached to the UN (I think) pretty much saying how overboard the Israeli action was and how she’s never seen so many bodies in one place , blah,blah,blah. So I dumbly listened to the end by which time I was too worked up to get comfortable and settle in with a good book.
Just insane things from these people that ... well you know. RCOB again.There just is NO talking to a radio. It doesn’t listen back.

Speaking for myself I can say it’s been ALL of my life. Yours too come to think of it.
As stated long before now, Israel is the only country in the world that isn’t allowed to actually reap the benefits of winning a war. In fact, many ppl cheer on Israel until she actually looks like winning. Then suddenly they turn. Oh no,no. It’s okay to fight but you kikes aren’t actually supposed to win. No,no. That’s not allowed. Now apologize to the arabs and make nicey.
