2. Exactly. If he truly is a soldier, then his “military action” was done while not wearing the uniform of an established state power. Thus the conventions of war allow him to be executed via hanging or firing squad. No trial necessary, merely requires GUTS by the British government.

3. No hanging allowed anymore thanks to the Euroweenies, and Bliar had the foresight to make treason no longer punishable by hanging.
