Happy Birthday Drew!
And also a Happy Veterans Day to all who are serving or have served. (Belated (one day) Happy Birthday USMC).
And finally, Remember Armistice Day (isn’t it the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month?!? - seems I remember that from those ancient years of my school days).
Aww, this is great! Thanks P-man, this is just what I needed. Yep, I’m 39 again. For the 10th time.
More importantly, yes, this is Veteran’s Day. Remembrance Day in other parts of the world. A day to honor those brave and willing who Went There and Did That because their country called.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREW
Happy birthday Drew!
Happy Birthday Drew, and many many more.
Many happy returns old chap.
Happy birthday Drew!
While I’m here, I’d like to say something about ‘mouse guns’.
One of the reasons I often carry this:
is because some years ago I read of an armed robbery being not only stopped, but one of the perps killed by this lowly 5-rd .22 cal pistol.
It was in a Florida restaurant. Over ten years ago now. After I read about this, I specifically went to my local gun show looking for one.
I always carry it in plain sight. It’s the main feature of my belt buckle, also made by North American Arms. They can’t possibly get me for violating ‘concealed carry’ laws. Mind you, I think the Second Amendment applies, concealed or not. But I digress.
Don’t knock a ‘mouse gun’. Don’t make fun of a small man. Both can kill you.
On behalf of Larry,Darrel and Darrel and all the other self employed mutants out here in the heartland of America I salute you.
The Skipper would be Proud.
Oh, and Happy B-Day
Happy birthday!
Thank you one and all!
And the only thing I have against mouseguns is that some are poorly made. Buy yourself a good one; it will cost nearly as much as a full size pistol. And yes, in a tight corner any gun is better than no gun at all. Even a little .22 like Chris’s. Which BTW, is a pretty well made piece. Buy quality.
Me, I want that Boberg Engineering thing if it ever hits the market. Failing that, the little Rorsach pocket 9mm seems pretty nice too. I’ve turned away from the Ruger LCP because I’ve heard it is too open around the case head, and will blow up if fed +P ammo. That’s a deal killer to say the least.
Yes, happy birthday and thank you for this sane place!
Wardmama: Yes, Nov 11, 11h00 in the local time zone. I was at the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery Cenotaph in the city I work in (Kingston Ontario) at that time today, along with a lot of other people who turned out for the ceremony and to say “Thank you” to our Veterans.
Drew: Happy Birthday! (And many happy returns...)

Indeed, North Americam Arms produces some of the best .22 calibre firearms. I now own two of them, one of which is always in sight on my belt buckle. I can’t tell if I even have any other firearms. Guess I’d have to kill you if I told…
Though I’m thinking that being ‘armed’ doesn’t necessarily mean firearms. I’ve an assortment of swords, maces, etc.
Happy Birthday Drew! And you share a birth date with my hero Lazarus Long! Easy to remember!
Mouse guns are okay, as long as you know what you are doing with them.. to many people just pop off all the rounds as fast as they can.. bad policy.
I have a 2 shot .44 mag derringer. I have fired it once and damn near broke my wrist, however, better a broken wrist than a pine box. I only carry it when the day ends with a ‘y’ and it is always near at hand when I have to go into the happier parts of the ‘Burgh.
‘cheers!
Bill

Yes Drew, the master lives, and has sent us a sign.
