  1. Another keeper.

  2. Pure democracies invariably implode—this happens when the voting mob discovers that they can vote themselves goodies from the treasury, bankruptcy shortly following.  This is dangerously close to the situation we have today.

    An old one:
Democracy is where 2 wolves and 1 sheep vote on what’s for lunch.  Liberty is where the armed sheep disputes the vote.

  3. "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

The United States is a constitutional republic...well it used to be one anyway.

Not getting a warm fuzzy that the Democrats really understand that individual liberty is not to be violated by the majority of the people or by government officials.

  4. Looking forward to the one about a Republic.

Keep ‘em coming.  These are all going to be training aids for my U.S. History class.

  5. Thank you all. I have to admit that the quote in today’s poster was stolen ... from Thomas Jefferson. “Republic” poster is next.
