1. It always struck me as a supreme irony that theocratic governments are always the cruelest and most inhumane, easily rivaling or exceeding the worst of the fascists and communists. 

   Here in the US, we walk a fine line between our faith and our tolerance.  While many of our most important principals are based on Judeo/Christian ethics, We must also take care to remain secular in our application of laws.  For all its faults, thank G-d for the 1st Amendment.
