This is what happens when people refuse to see a nest of subsidized lice for what it is.
The demise of the NEA is long overdue. The longer we wait to bring these parasites to heel, the more havoc they will wreak.
I think the union should support groups and causes that their membership (by majority vote) supports.
I also think that when the union supports groups and causes that their membership do not support, the union members should be able to withhold their dues until the union leadership corrects their actions.
I also think that unions should NOT be able to contribute to political candidates or advocate any candidate or issue.
Tough on the unions? Absolutely. Do I feel bad about it? Not a chance. Will any of this happen? No way in hell.
Skipper,
Now don’t be TOO hard on the poor students. The average elementary student can put a condom on a banana....I’m sure that is important! That way when they can’t read the instructions on the box, they will still be covered.
Here here, John C. I am a member of Teamsters, which is probably the most liberal union (next to UFCW, which my mom, sister, and the Twerp are all members of) ever conceived. They don’t control how I vote.
I do wish, however, that they could allow me to opt out without putting my benefits (health insurance) in jeopardy.
hmmmmmm sounds like the teachers union is worried that someone may have gotten through school able to read and think critically.
Heck, if they’re giving it to some of those groups (and they are!) at least they aren’t screwing up the kids more than thay are already, and for the most part, we are letting them get away with it! Took the time to check out some of the other unions after I found the link.... makes for some interesting reading. No wonder they fought so hard to keep from disclosing where the money was going!
