  1. Hate to disagree with you skipper, but I don’t see any shades of gray here at all. As I learned it, under the ‘Full Faith and Credit’ clause of the Constitution every State must recognize the marriages of every other State. While I’m no expert, this seems to be a case of a politically ambitious prosecutor trying to get ahead by stepping on the faces of two law-abiding citizens. I don’t like the outcome here either, but unless we want the law to mean whatever some prosecutor thinks it does, we need to support Mr. & Mrs. Koso.

  2. if the prosecutor insists on filing charges, perhaps the couple should just up and move to Kansas for four years and to Hell with Aksarben!
