Hate to disagree with you skipper, but I don’t see any shades of gray here at all. As I learned it, under the ‘Full Faith and Credit’ clause of the Constitution every State must recognize the marriages of every other State. While I’m no expert, this seems to be a case of a politically ambitious prosecutor trying to get ahead by stepping on the faces of two law-abiding citizens. I don’t like the outcome here either, but unless we want the law to mean whatever some prosecutor thinks it does, we need to support Mr. & Mrs. Koso.
if the prosecutor insists on filing charges, perhaps the couple should just up and move to Kansas for four years and to Hell with Aksarben!
The Nebraska AG needs to stop waisting tax payers’ time and money.
Man, I live in Lincoln and this is the first I’ve heard of it.
