I think the “white to win” problems you used to post are more fun than these. Give people a challenge, not just read a report.
At least Drew’s bowling stories have some enthusiasm to them, this is just, how can I say this nicely,Echhhh.
Yeah, well this week’s bowling story isn’t going to happen. We got our butts kicked by the team that a) runs the league, all the officers being on this one team, and b) runs the bowling alley, 2 of the 4 team members being lifetime employees, and the other 2 being their close relatives with decades of bowling experience, and c) is miles out in first place, as they are nearly every year.
They flat out out-bowled us, showing their true skills accidentally by competing with each other for drunken fun, and all of them threw games 50 points or more over their current averages. Ringers? Sand baggers? Totally. Oh please, a 179 average throwing a 697 series? Mighty might mighty rare. 3 of them on a team doing the same thing? Not a chance that that’s by chance. So we smiled, and said “wow, great bowling” and went home with a wink and a nod.
