  1. Ah.

The sweep of a pen and ‘jethro’ is a hero for the environment.

    Rev-newers!

  2. Yep, too bad it takes more energy to make ethanol than it produces (think of fertilizer, diesel for farm equipment, and distillery processing).  Too bad that this rise in corn prices will result in higher cost for meat (sorry steak lovers unless you like range fed beef), and poultry (yep, what do you think that those stupid birds eat).  Better thank a liberal when you’re hungry for processing food products into fuel.  We have massive coal stocks that could be turned into gasoline using the nearly identical processes used in Germany during WWII.  We might be able to use those same processes in shale oil (think really greasy rocks).

  3. Thus the title of the post. Anyone who thinks ethanol is going to solve our energy problems in drinking up too much moonshine. In fact, the whole ethanol “strategy” is nothing more than so much moonshine.

    cool smirk

  4. Sort of like when someone pisses on your leg and makes a feeble attempt at convincing you that it is raining?
