  1. Jennings died of lung cancer-as did my grandfather.
    My father died of emphesyma.
Neither is a pleasant way to go.
Btw-Jennings wife has a different name than him.
What’s with the wife not taking the husband’s name?
I couldn’t get rid of my maiden name fast enough.(It’s “Fagin"-like the ‘Oliver Twist’ character-who also happened to be Jewish. rolleyes )

  2. I guess NASA put off the shuttle landing because they didn’t want the miniscule amount of air time the media gives them now to be further decreased because they are so busy eulogizing Peter Jennings. Unless it blows up, of course. You know, I can remember when the news readers read news, and weren’t ‘the news’.

  3. Brunswick, Maine - 30-45 minute drive (depending on traffic) south of the state capital, Augusta.

Paying roughly $2.28/gallon for regular (depends on where you go, CITGO station on base is usually a few cents cheaper)
