Don’t miss reading the link at the bottom of the Pussification essay.. It’s an excellent followup by Kim’s wife.

I always liked this line from “The Shootist”
“I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted, and I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do these things to other people and I expect the same from them.”
Pardon me Drew but ... spelling?
I think it’s, Euro-pee-ons.
Bothers me every time I hear em mention ‘cowboys’ in relation to dishonest people doing shoddy work. The architect building the new house next door has referred to the one built last year on our other side, as having been built by ,,, yeah. Cowboys.
Maybe they were built by gyppos who rode stolen horses.
I am with Peiper, it seems to be common in England, such is ignorance on other cultures. Nothing would make me prouder than my little boy turning out like John Wayne!. Also redneck has been applied to me as a slur- I would chose to be a redneck over a leftard or libtard or sheeple any day!
England also has an expression “gerry built” any ideas on that one?
Chris: I always heard “gerry built” referred to something slapped together out of shoddy junk at hand..... Kinda like McGuyvered
It came from WWII when German troops had to do it to make up for supply shortages. Same with those 5 gallon gas cans… the Germans were seen a lot siphoning gas into those cans, so they became known as ‘gerry cans’.
Time for me to go watch Clint’s latest movie Gran Torino… again.
After that I’m breaking out my John Wayne collection.
