4. That tops my story.

   My Senior Patrol Leader was teaching us 11-yr-old newbies how to use an axe safely, hit a knot in the wood that deflected that axe into his shin. He was Reaganesque before Reagan… he said ‘not like this’. Then he yelled and we got to practice our emergency first aid.

   He was fine, no permanent damage done, but he missed teaching us newbies how not to do other things because it hurts. That came later…
