  1. Yep miracles happen.

Of course there are such things as miracles. Like when we agree with OCM or vice versa. LOL

I’ll explain the unexplainable when I’m done unscrewing the inscrutable.

  2. We’re dealing with, and taking for granted, a lot of stuff that would have been miraculous fifty years ago. Hell, even thirty years ago. We’re not as amazed any more at any of this stuff and don’t appreciate it.

Of course I recall when the world was in black and white.

You young’ns don’t believe that? I’ve got pictures.

  3. ”...steroids is not growing these physicial giants--what is?”
Easy answer, OCM.  Money drives ‘em out of the mines and woods and valleys and alleys.

And twice the population we had 50 years ago, more people eating better, more sophisticated training, often starting at an earlier age, and yes, genetics.  Just IMHO.

It is amazing though.  Used to be 6’-2” and 240 lbs. was an offensive tackle.  Now that’s a running back, and the tackle is ~6’-8”, 315 lbs., and thanks to year-round weight training, it’s mostly muscle.

  4. Yeah, more people are eating better now and not as many are facing want. I’m thinking also that there are a lot of growth hormones, etc., being used in the food chain. I think that’s filtering through to humans. No doubt there’s steroids involved in some cases, but that doesn’t explain the taller kids through the population.

The aeronautical engineers were using the wrong model.

Hmm, I guess it depends if the bay doors are open or closed when it flies over, Bob. LOL
I have seen the occasional BUFF when I was near Wright-Patt. They do look graceful in their element. Did you ever see those movies of the scale model somebody made and flew? I can look them up if you hevan’t seen ‘em. Maybe it was you who posted ‘em, I dunno.

Beautiful is a ship at sea though. Different strokes and all that, I suppose.

  6. I knew what you meant, Bob. Nobody’s prefect. LOL

I toured the old Texas years ago I’d love to see one of the later WW2 battleships, though. They did some heavy earthmoving work too.

  7. The fact that I can type this on an iBook computer that is smaller than the three-ring binders I carried throughout high school and college is a miracle.

The fact that I can listen to my entire vinyl LP collection on my iPod is a miracle.

The fact that my step-father had a year’s remission of his cancer due to speculative treatment was a miracle.

Yes, depends on your definition of ‘miracle’.
