1. jayD when they dreamt up the national health service it was at the end of a long difficult war. The people doing the fighting felt they were entitled to a better quality of life after all the sacrifice. The thing is though the Britain of 1945 was a much more homogenous country. I hate to come across as a nasty waycist but the truth of the matter is that ethnic minorities from the turd world were virtually non existent back then.
