  1. When you have leg cramps at night, try about 8 ounces of real tonic water,the kind with real quinine in it.  My mom used it for years for relief and it really works.

  2. That’s a nice idea. All I’d have to do is to buy enough of it to have some left for the middle of the night.

    I love quinine water. Gin & tonic. Great thirst quencher. Best adult soda in the world is half strong tonic, half bitter lemon. Over a tall glass full of ice, it’s got flavor power to stand up to 5 melting cubes. Or 3-4 oz vodka or gin.

    It’s just a shame that none of the tonics in the grocery store are very strong, and that the artisan tonic concentrates are so pricey and so over sweetened. No, I need some bark, some burlap, some cheesecloth, xlarge coffee filters and a big boiling pot ... make my own, or my own concentrate.

    Actually, I’m pretty sure my knees hurt today because I bruised them kneeling on gravel. But I do get those little charley horse leg cramps quite often.

  3. We just had Canada Dry brand from Kroger.  But that’s all you need.
