  1. Aww ... sniff, sniff.  red face That was really nice of you.

That does it. Damnation, tomorrow I’m going to empty out the checking account and go to the post office. I’ve got a 5lb box to send to England. That’s gonna hurt, but Peiper deserves it.

PS - I think all html and css questions should be directed his way from now on. Anything he can’t answer off the cuff becomes a research project for him. He’s got the books, and he needs the distraction. Raise your expectations folks, the P-man will soon be getting creative!

  2. Merry X-Mas Peiper.

With so much going wrong in the world, it is nice to take a day off to remind ourselves that there is goodness WITH that ugliness, and that it is there if you wish to dig for it.

Sadly, we are going to have to wait an additional day for X-Mas here on the Left Coast of America. and I intend to savor it.

Well, we can chalk up one more year above ground, which is always a good thing.

    Cheers.

  3. Peiper,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. You’re one of the reasons I’m looking forward to next year.

  4. Peiper,

A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you & Jennifer. I see you put my feelings about the Top 4 Here at BMEWS into prose very well.

However, you caught the essence of BMEWS for me with this:

Even where I might question some comments, you folks have the knack to make me stop and question my own position and take a second look.

This has been (to me) the greatest part of this website - the ability to actually discuss a situation/issue, to hear points that I’ve might not even considered and to see things from a slightly different angle.

It keeps me thinking, it helps me as I attempt to slay liberal losers in the vast InterNet and it keeps me sane.

I am surrounded by the ones I love - the rest are coming in on Sat. (Help - 5 more - Oy Vey- oh yes did I mention the 3 cats, each psychotic in their own special way?!?). But I am so absolutely happy & feel blessed that the one wish I had (that we could all be together) is about to happen. And then it’s my ex’s turn next week!

There is a God and gee there is a Santa Claus too!

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to all here at BMEWS.

  5. Wardmama4:

h yes did I mention the 3 cats, each psychotic in their own special way?!?

Alright, that is just SCARY. Just when I am thinking of the most efficient ways to dispose of my little “darlings”, I read that.

    Alright, I am spooked.

Well, I guess we have something in common…

  6. Turtler - we have a cat who must have had a real serious attempt on his life in the first six months - as he is terrified of men, runs from plastic bags, guns and most water - and he spews when he is angry and/or terribly scared. [He is living in our closet right now]

Just before all this visiting fun - we went to visit my mother and she needs to move into assisted living but - her cat was stopping her. He is young, was born & about the first six months basically feral and used to a woman who probably spent 90% of her day in bed - into our busy house (as the two youngest were already enscounced into the house). . .[he is hiding under a bed in the basement]

And my son and his family have a sweet cat - but he gets into anything/everything, never met a shut door that can’t be opened and also spews.

I really love animals - but the cats I had as a kid - didn’t need $200 worth of dental work, special diets, their own maid and an on-call psychiatrist.

A good time is being had by all!

  7. Peiper - a very Merry Christmas to you and your family.  I think you are doing just fine in the posting area.  I am not very politically savvy, so I always enjoy your “human interest” posts and thoroughly enjoy reading about life in that country across the big pond!  Keep up the good work - you are doing just fine. I started as a member of BMEWS (under a different name) when it was run by both Allan & Vilmar and was there when all hell broke loose (more than once) - however, that is all water under the damn and I have been so happy since Drew found it in his heart to repeal all the banished members.  There are a couple of past members that I have been in contact with over the years and have been trying to get them to rejoin as I think they would add great deal of interest to various posts........will continue working on them!

  10. ...and a Merry Christmas to all from the City of the Angels (hey, I didn’t name it).  It has been so nice to compare ideas with a group of people who didn’t think I was stone crazy, you couldn’t believe it.

    Thank You.
