  1. I would almost be willing to bet that Zell Miller and Jimmy Carter come from the same religious background and are members of the same denomination (Southern Baptist) I wonder though, what branch did Jimmy come from cause they’re sure not the same. Standing on the same platform with a murderer, an immoral sex addict and an abortionist?? I’m trying to think what Jesus did to the money changers in the temple?? hmmm???

  2. I used to think ole Jimmy boy was a great ex-president. now i’m starting to wish that he would just fade back into obscurity.
    Barb GO CUBS!
NOBODY FOR US SENATE FROM ILLINOIS

  3. Brother Jimmy long ago turned his back on roots. His time in DC scrambled his brain. He’s been a party outcast for so long he’d sell his soul to get back in.

I think he should go back to building homes in the Habitat program, at least he was good at that.

Well some some people don’t know it’s past time they should have retired. I figure part of the reason Jimmy hasn’t is the folks back home don’t want him back either.....

  4. Yo! Has anybody ever noticed the noted LIBERAL pattern of (1) failing to address the issue (2) Attacking on a personal level and then (3) whining that they are misunderstood, misquoted, that their argument is more “nuanced” than us (cretenous) “conservatives” (I’ve noticed the term “rethuglican” lately) are capable of understanding?  WE are STUPID because we can’t UNDERSTAND ....  Hack, Spit…
Carter was an idiot when he occupied the oval office, was incompetent (in my OPINION Carter is the most culpable for world terrorism today, short of the terrorists themselves - he did NOTHING to show terrorists that terrorism didn’t reward people...) in office, and a fairly braying jackass out of office.  (Monitor THIS, Jimmy...)
Hey, OCB - How about a Nobel Prize for killing kids? Arafuck? (Jimmy’s buddy?) Or perhaps you’d like to negotiate a PEACE settlement with the Chechans....

  5. Can’t keep on subject can you? This is about Jimmy Carter not the Bushes. Then I suppose it’s easier than finding points to support Carter in this argument.

Well OCM at least Bush would be getting a prize for doing something right.

Despite the numerous Peace Prizes over the years I don’t see much peace in the world.

    I wonder why that is???

  6. The best way to achieve peace is to show the idiots of the world the pointy end of the spear and then let them choose: war or peace.

It works every time. 100% success rate.

Protests and negotiations never solved a thing when the enemy is perfectly willing to kill you to get what he wants.

OCM is living in his dream world again.

  7. I think Jimmy Carter did the best he could in promoting world peace.........and I don’t think it is his fault that the two sides are unable to come to an agreement...........I also think his involvement in Habitat for Humanity is doing a world of good for the poor people of our country..........for people who otherwise would still be in a sinking hole of poverty.......even tho I believe that the poor should better strive to get themselves out of the world that they live in........I see it time & again in my ER when we get 16 year old unmarried girls pregnant and who believe that welfare is the way to go- the same way their mothers live- the cycle never seems to be broken..........and who ends up supporting these welfare kids & their babies? We do, the middle and/or upper class...........p***** me off but I have to care for these indigents as I do any other patient who presents to my ER.......every human being that presents to my ER is entitled to the same care no matter what their station in life is.........

  8. Catman you maybe a few years older than me (but not many) but that doesn’t explain this higher sensitivity to death thing you claim to have.

I’ve spent my whole life in Emergency Services except for a few years I did rehab counseling. I’ve gone to great lengths to keep people alive, cause that’s what you do.

In fact I’m still pulling part time shifts as a Crisis Counselor (Suicide Intervention). I sat with both my parents as they died, almost had it take my son and I’ve had a couple real close calls with it myself.

Yea I know death and I take it personally too..

No life need be wasted because it is prescious beyond measure. Still if you get a wound to the leg and gangreen sets in they still have to take the leg to save the body.

So 12k over three years and we still have terrorism is about as intelligent “as we’ve tryed every know anti-biotic, hyper baric treatment and we’ve removed your toes but the only other option is to remove it way above the infection at the knee unless of course you’d rather die”

You want peace but you’re not willing to pay the price. Yea things are diiferent than the day after 9/11 because those 1000 soldiers, airman, marines and sailors paid real dear for it.

  9. In a couple of years it will come out that Carter hes Alzheimer’s Mark my words.

  10. Jimmy Carter is and was a peacemonger idiot.

He was and still is a pushover.

The Iranian Hostage crisis was a total abject failure because of his OMG what do I do, I don’t want to upset them, attitude. THen he tried a political rescue instead of a military one, yeah, he told the military what to do, and of course it failed.

Jimmy Carter is Culpable for ALL of this mess, if he had supported the Shah, instead of letting the Khomeini take over, we wouldn’t be having this little conversation about terrorism etc.

How dare he even think about being angry with Zell Miller, Senator Miller did NOT leave the Democratic Party, it LEFT HIM.

Bunch of Left wing whacks are in charge of the party, if any moderate votes Democratic, they are idiots. All Democrats are idiots as far as I am concerned.

Bunch of publicly schooled Sheeple who wanst Mommy government to take care of them, and as long as we are fighting the war on terror, we can’t concentrate so hard on their sorry asses.

  11. OCM,
I knew Reagan had it when he as running for his second term. I shanghaied 10 people to
    vote against because of it.

Working in a hospital and watching/seeing
humans die is not the same as killing.

You babble now, and I will hold my thoughts
until you get some sleep or some meds.

Just another thought, do you really think
that peace can exist without the threat
    of violence?

  12. OCM,

The absence of violence is quiescence.

Peace is a harmony twixt the two.

I will take that as a compliment.

  13. "How dare you question my sensitivity to death!
I spent 45 years working in hospitals and health care, dude, and death is fucking ugly!  If you lack the sensitivity of caring about other humans..then that is
    your problem…”

I’ll put my 30 + years of 24/7 emergency medical experiance on the table with yours any day. I could do the how dare you question my sensitivity to death thing too, but I won’t cause you don’t seem to get it. You’re right death is damn ugly, I guess we agree on something.

I stand by what I said, peace has a terrible cost…

“And the point of Carter coming down with Alzheimers IS WHAT???  Are you saying if a Demo
has Alzheimers its an issue to make issue of?  And Ronnie is taboo to attack on the issue?”

Not me Old Catman. I never addressed Alziheimers or wished it on anybody. You’re after the wrong guy on that one.

  14. I have spent 38 years as a nurse, the last 20 in Emergency Room nursing- I see death & dying frquently............yes, Ronald Reagan had Alzheimers but I don’t see the signs in Jimmy Carter..........I still think Carter did the best he could to promote world peace and it is not his fault that the 2 sides continue to be at war.......There is only so much an American President can do - the rest is up to the warring people involved..........
