  1. Correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave” point out that if you manipulate what a man gets to know, you manipulate his view of reality?

My own tactic for trying to figure out what’s actually happening in the world is to hit web sites from all ends of the political spectrum.  This includes Al Jazeera, Mother Jones, CNN, ABC, Jewish World Review, Huff Po, Michael Yon and World Net Daily.  I check still more and make liberal use of Google if I need more answers.  The “liberal” sites can be a bit tiresome and disgusting, but then I also want to know what the latest Moonbat craze is.

  2. Your reasoning Dr. Jeff is how I silence the loons I encounter - a sudden hush ensues when I mention Daily Kos, Dem Underground or Michael Moore as bookmarks - funny how they rant on and on about conservative comments but never listen to or read any of them. Makes one question how they know a thing - comes out I read it on ---- (really the truth be known, some commentor twisted it in a reference to something else).

I agree with the twisted reality and also they are so fact/historical deficient that it boggles the mind that any of them got through high school, let alone college (for the politico and media types, ok science and medical types too).

Well, Skipper the reason the Gitmo decision wasn’t in the NYTs is that it goes against the template that everything President Bush did/does is criminal and unConstitutional. Funny how even their lib ladden courts have supported that yet.
