2. If you make them separate, and limit our presence to sea and air power, then the NorKs have no excuse to invade or nuke the south when we blast unlce Kim. Plus it gives us many more thousand troops to send elsewhere. Lastly, SK is about as up to speed as possible, so the USA can get media kudos for “ending a long term occupation”.
