I read the St. Petersburg TIMES (BLUE PAPER) “opinion” and got sick.
1. Cartoon - Don Wright, says, “they are the same, the GOP in the House of Representatives and Harriet the HOOKER.”
2. 1/2 page editorial, SUNDAY, 1/9/05, ”Sinking Social Security” - SO - ”Philip L. Gailey” is Editor of Editorials and VP says, ”More taxes is the obvious answer.” He spews on, ”2 Trillion transition cost is added to the cost of war.” Dr. Phil here is a FRUITcake.
Phil, Phil, Phil Social Security lies continue, “could easily cause an economic chain-reaction: The markets go south, interest rates go up and the economy stalls out.”
They end the BS with, “Social Security may be a subject that puts young workers to sleep and helps older ones sleep more soundly, but it is TIME for both groups to wake up. The retirement they save may be their own.”

4. Privatization reservation - attacks Gov Jeb.Vincent Ciulla, Sarasota, Florida, wrote letter 3 about HEALTH CARE. Maybe Vincent missed the Tax Free Health Savings Accounts (HSA) being passed for all Americans under 65 years of age by President Bush 12/08/2003.
Dick Wetherbee, Gulfport, Florida wrote letter number 2 about corruption. Dummy Dick says, ”Follow the money. We are talking about putting $80-billion a year into the stock market. Clearly investment would only be allowed in approved securities and funds. How big a bribe would you pay to get on the list? Broker commissions would be in the hundreds of millions each year.”
The HSA can be offerred by any bank that offers IRAs. It will be the same for Personal Savings Accounts (PSA) in SAVING Social Security (SS).
Sebastian Dortch is Director of Human Resources and Diversity Officer. I am liciensed to sell health insurance in Florida and I wonder if Sebastian is. I wonder if employees of the St. Pete’s TIMES are paying for their insurance. I wonder if the employees know that if they get cancer, and can’t work anymore, that the paper will put them on COBRA for insurance termination.
Anything short of 100% of the Social Security tax (10% of income/not 12.4%) going to the Tax Free PSA is DISCRIMINATORY to certain minority population groups (Black Males, Black Females, Hispanic Males.........)
Star Parker says, “Black males average lifespan is 64.7 years.” SO - Many black males pay SS Tax their whole life and then die and NEVER get one penny back.
Star Parker says, “When a Black man dies his PSA balance should be transferred to his family exactly like a Tax Free HSA.”
President Bush said, “Become EMPOWERED with a Tax Free HSA.”
