I’ll grant you, I doubt this guy was able to find out anything the professionals couldn’t. But given the current state of the law and the courts, I don’t think it was unreasonable to think he could find out a lot of things *the court would not see fit to present in the case*.
And from what’s shown here, it looks to me like the trial was suspended the moment he merely *asked* about some of those things.
