Once again, the media spun the original story to make a company look bad. The shole story is A LOT different.
If the man were in diabetic shock, how could he run off? Who nade that diagnosis? Something’s still not right.
It just goes to show you can’t rely on first reports for any kind of accuracy. But train conductors really ought to be required to have some sort of emergency medical training; at least enough to recognize something like this. Especially out there in the big empty west of Flagstaff.
Odd ... I looked at Google maps, and traced all 3 of the rail lines out of Williams. The only national forest I could find was Grand Canyon, quite a few miles further to the north.
It still sounds like heavy handed behavior by the railroad.
