  1. Abdi Nur.... one of our Somali “friends” perchance? BTW there are believed to be 250,000 Somalis in Britain now.
    Lifted from Mark Steyn....

Immigrant mothers account for part of the fertility increase throughout Europe, but only part.

Yes, but what part? Here’s some more numbers. Let’s say you have 950,000 ethnic Europeans whose fertility rate is 1.3. And 50,000 immigrants move in with a fertility rate of 3.5. You’d have an overall fertility rate increase to 1.41, or almost 10 percent, entirely due to a tiny segment of the population. In fact, if 900,000 ethnic Europeans’ fertility rate declined from 1.3 to 1.2, but 100,000 immigrants with that 3.5 rate moved in, you’d still have a 10 percent increase in the overall fertility rate, even though 90 percent of the population has bought a one-way ticket on the Oblivion Express.

  2. Hi Lyndon.
Sickening, isn’t it? For all our advances in medicine (except here where I am with regard to my doc) and all the goodies we enjoy now, I think the days of my more innocent yoot were better.  Late 40s and 50s. Yeah I know. Even the cars weren’t better compared to now.
Hell, I even remember when your streets here were still safer then our in the states.
Bah ... the left Lyndon.  How’d they manage it?

I’m closing down in a few minutes and going to bed with a book.  Fantasy is better these days. These animals own the streets and now the EU has issued that light bulb ban effective in Sept. on another group of bulbs.

Oh wait a minute. You are just the guy to ask about this.

There is a lighting store that has some stock left BUT ... they have this warning that some bulbs are (100w) are 55mm and other may be 60mm. ???? I don’t understand that at all and they don’t explain on their site.

Why the two sizes in the same bulb?  Since this is on the net, I can’t see to judge. Any advice? I’ll catch the answer in the morning. Thanks. Cheers

The EU is banning every type of opaque ‘incandescent’ bulb from September, from the conventional 100 and 60 watt ‘pearl’ bulbs to the more specialised frosted 25 watt and 40 watt bulbs shaped like candles and golf balls.

At the same time clear 100 watt bulbs will also vanish. Instead, shoppers will have to buy low energy compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) or low energy halogen bulbs.

James Shortridge, owner of the lighting chain Ryness,

GLS lamps with bayonet (BC - B22d) fitting and an average life of 1,000 hours. These are traditional standard lamps and have the advantage of reaching full brightness straight away and are suitable for use with dimmers. Please note that all manufacturers are in the process of reducing the size from 60mm to 55mm diameter of these bulbs and we cannot guarantee the size of the bulb you recieve.

  3. No, I would be strongly opposed to the death penalty for these guys.  They have just barely missed my personal limit for the death penalty.  Something like a life sentence without parole in Pelican Bay would be highly appropriate.

For those of you who don’t know, Pelican Bay is a supermax prison in California.  It takes a history of repeated, exceptionally heinous crimes plus usually a history of not playing well with other prisoners to get a cell there.  Each prisoner has their own cell.  The prisoners are allowed out of their cells for one hour each day.  They have no contact with the other prisoners.  When they are allowed out of their cells, they are placed alone in a bare concrete exercise yard with very high walls.  Pelican Bay is a pretty nasty place to spend any amount of time.

Pelican Bay is so tough that there have been lawsuits describing it as cruel and unusual punishment.  Frankly, I think the psychological torture of living without human contact, without flower, trees, birds, grass, women, except for the guards, for the rest of your life would be exquisite for these muggers.

  4. Dr. Jeff cruel and unusual is what these dirtbags need. unfortunately in the UK ever since the likes of Roy Jenkins et al the idea of crime and punsihment has gone out the window. The only mantra these clowns understand is “prison doesn’t work” they are wilfully blind to any evidence to the contrary. I would suggest though that anyone interested keeps an eye on the reults of the forthcoming local and EU elections in Britain in June. I think it will be quite an eye opener to see which parties get seats at the EUrinal. Particularly since the EU election is a proportional representation deal. The recent revelations of MP’s in Britain shoving their snouts in the trough is not playing well with the public.

JayD I don’t think the bulb size is an issue it is just the glass envelope size. 5mm difference is neither here nor there. It’s a pity they no longer do the 100W halogen bulbs. They have a normal bulb exterior but contain a filament in a capsule inside. They really put out a good white light. Anyway I thought you had a lifetimes stock of 100W bulbs?

  5. Umm, how can you expect different?  British subjects (not citizens) not only have no right to self-defense, but the ‘justice’ system in Old Blighty actually tends to punish those who dare to defend themselves far more harshly than those who attack.  It’s uncivilized, dontcha know?

I only hope that someday, preferably soon, the Brita will once again realize that to deny self-defense to the honest only assures that the brutal will triumph, and that, my friends is the height of uncivilized.

  7. Lyndon, thanks much for that info. I can buy now with confidence.
Yeah ,, we have a ton BUT ... one never knows how much is really enough. Better to have more then needed then run out or be short by one.

  8. Too bad they didn’t run into a pair of “victims” carrying .357 desert eagles.

  9. Oldman - remember that Britain has more severe penalties for the defenders than for the criminals.

    Horrifying but true.
