  1. I am more offended by the fact that many were maimed for life. Well then, idiot, why don’t your freaking signs say “Maimed for LIFE”??  I’ve just about had it up to my gills with the “Lies” LIE.

  2. We could always let the wounded soldiers say it themselves.  “Here’s a gun and immunity, show those protestors how you feel”

  3. If you don’t agree with the war, then fine( you a wrong of course), but take it to the Capitol or White House ya sick yellow trolls.  Or better yet, offer an alternative that won’t require me to become a Muslim.

  4. Elliot, you have the right idea.  The area around Walter Reed should be declared a free fire zone and the wounded service men issued their choice of weapons.

  5. I concur with Elliott’s idea. Make it so, number one! Free fire zone is now officially declared. Issue the armaments. Soldier’s choice. 10,000 rounds per man.

    cool grin

  6. Uhhhh, Skipper?  Your use of the term “maggots” is an insult to the insect-types {used for wound debridement, therefore beneficial to humans, though the critters make MY skin crawl!  barf } AND to U. S. Marine recruits {it’s a favored term of endearment by DIs to their charges cool smile this from my spousal unit!} ...................... the bipeds playing their games outside WRAMC are animated fecal matter - no more, no less - and AS such, make pretty good targets .................. mi esposa voiced the opinion, when I told him of their antics, identical to Elliott’s .....................
BTW, did y’all realize that the most commonly-used Mexican-Spanish term for “spouse” is ALSO the word for “handcuffs”?  cool grin

    P. S.  Thank you Skipper - I WAS logged out {not MY doing - either Mike’s or our daughter’s ....................  rolleyes }

  7. Somebdoy needs to put these grabastic anphibian peices of sh*t in the hospital . Preferably one in Iraq.

  8. I just saw the code pink rep on Hannity and Colmes. She denied everything, claimed they were protesting to increase Veterans benefits and went on about how her brother was or had been in Iraq.

When videos were shown of the protestors she fell back on the “my brother was in Iraq” meme. There were no details on the brother or how he felt about this traitorous bitch mocking wounded service members and their families.

Catch the replay on FOX later, if you can.

  9. Perhaps the good PW folks in DC should show up with video cameras next time!

  10. Oh yeah, I remember these idiots.  Or perhaps it was a slightly different group of similar idiots.  I spent 8 months at Walter Reed last year after my Iraq tour got cut short.  Round about July I was sitting on a bike in the physical therapy ward looking out the front window.  There was a whole horde of them milling around outside the front gate waving signs and shouting whatever came into their tiny little minds.

You want to protest?  Fine.  Go nuts.  But what in the HELL are you doing protesting outside the hospital?  The worst are the ones pretending they want to “support” us poor stupid veterans by “saving” us from the evils of.... etc. etc. etc.  Get f***ed.  I don’t want your support, your sympathy, or your condescension (which isn’t real in most cases anyway, except for the condescension of course).  Neither do the vast majority of troops at Walter Reed.  You wouldn’t believe the great attitude of the soldiers there.  Some of them with terrible injuries and all they want to know is “When can I get back to my unit?”

You don’t even need to give them weapons.  Just let the ambulatory patients out with carte blanche to clear the streets and they’ll be delighted to handle it.

  11. StinKerr,
Last Sat Jen, the BOY and I joined PW-Chicago at the Chicago Air & Water Show to support our troops.
Of course the usual suspects were also there-ANSWER and Code Pink(which was represented by some limp-wristed GUY).
Being that we were maybe 4-5ft up the hill from them I had to remind the boy to remain on the “moral high ground"(Pw had a sign that said that).
THEY had the usual: photos of flag draped coffins,"support Cindy”, “no war for oil”.
    Like I said-the usual.
At least THIS year they left the Jr Civil Air Patrol alone.
Last year it was official policy for the left to sometimes PHYSICALLY go after the JCAP-and the kids were told to fight back.
Now ANSWER et al is afraid of 14 and 15 year olds.
    *happy dance*

If they tried that around my friend Sara in the JCAP here in Nebraska at an air show, they would no longer have testicles.  I believe they were allowed to keep with them a baton and a boot knife.

  13. Way to go CNS and Drudge, this one’s had some legs for awhile:

    Commies at WRAMC

No slam intended against the fine proprietor of this site, the blogosphere’s a big place…

  14. On a related note, I’ve also just posted about Fred Phelps, some nutjob wacko Baptist “preacher” who is going to be protesting two fallen soldiers’ funerals in Tennesse.

...Phelps is leading a crusade against the war in Iraq by celebrating the death of American soldiers killed in this conflict. According to his rhetoric, these men and women are dying because of God’s wrath and vengeance for America’s “acceptance of homosexuality.” Phelps sends people out to the funerals of service men and women who have fallen in Iraq with signs that proclaim hatred of homosexuals and America in general including one that says “Thank God for dead soldiers.”

(not my words, but the words of Big Orange Michael (http://bigorangemichael.blogspot.com/2005/08/plea.html)

The world is going crazy, Skipper, I swear.

  15. Phelps needs a damn good thrashing.

I recently read about another soldier’s funeral that he and his group attended which didn’t come off quite as they had planned. The local law surrounded them with officers and cars and prevented them from being seen or heard by those attending the services. Altogether a good thing, in my opinion.

He needs a beating to within a milimeter of his life.

Who said Americans can’t adapt to metric? LOL

  16. I think the solution would be to have had some of those wounded soldiers throw a few blank grenades down into the street where the airheads were doing their thing.  Not real ones, mind you, just hte ones that go bang and blow smoke, to scare them off.

Then again, maybe Elliot’s idea is better.

  17. Food for thought… John Crawford, author of the new book “The Last True Story I’ll Ever Tell” did a radio interview that I caught a while ago.  He himself is not pro-war it seems, but still found the protests to be of bad taste.  The reason?  Simple, the guys at the hostpital, almost all of them, received their injuries in a fight/bombing that took the life of another soldier that the knew.  It just dredges up bad memories at a time when they’re trying to forget the carnage that they say.

Even the ANT-WAR people think this is in bad taste!  Crikey.
