    ...the reef runway is an alternate space shuttle landing site?
    ...if you slice one real hard on #5 (I think), you might just hit a 747 on the taxiway leading to the reef runway (not that I would know anything about that, of course)?

    BTW, the BX is at the middle left edge of the picture, PACAF HQs is the strangely-shaped building below it, and one of the houses I lived in once is about an inch (on the picture) to the right of the BX.

  5. Home for four wonderful years. Can’t look at it without a flood of fond memories come rushing back.

    That 10 wing building (center left) is the HQ PACAF building that still bares visible scars from the Dec 7, 1941 attack.

  6. any one notice the military’s new Xband radar in pearl harbor? it the strange white golf ball looking thing?

    this pic is pretty recent, as the radar was in “port” for about 5 months last year when i was very lucky to be stationed on shafter
