  2. 33 minutes! You guys are slowing down on me. It must be glowbull warming affecting your memory.

Yes, Amadefoc wins the prize today. I tried to give it away in the first few sentences. Kadena is indeed the largest USAF base in the Far East, sitting around the middle of Okinawa - which we recently gave back to the Japanese and all our Marines based there are being moved to yesterday’s “Lost” ... Guam.

  3. Kadena had a special place in our hearts - being close to two Marine bases, they had the best chow on the island. It was just like a restaurant. It got so bad, we had to have orders justifying our presence on base to eat there.....

The show put on by F4s doing touch and goes and the “habus” made the tour worthwhile.

RE Guam, We all said if every Marine put a rock in his pocket when he rotated, soon there would be no more “rock” to go to!  Guam has to be better. My father liked it…

  4. Ah, practically in my backyard.

Okinawa Rocks! Know Kadena well. USAF isn’t going to leave anytime soon.

About a third of the USMC will relocate to Guam within the next couple of years.

Some trouble makers within the ranks feeds fuel into the fire of leftist protestors who are just as anti-Tokyo as they are anti-US (you wouldn’t believe some of the shit they get into).

Want some good grub? Place to eat is the Globe and Anchor on Camp Foster.

If I had my choice between living in Okinawa or living in Hawaii, OKinawa would win hands down. Something there for everyone.
