Losing The Best

  1. Going after troops during a war should be considered treason.  The military takes care of its own.  I do like that the blogs are beginning to take care of the MSM, though.

I don’t blame this guy for getting out.  To serve honorably in horrible conditions and to have to go through what he did.... It just makes me sick.  You do your best under live and death situations and get your teeth kicked in.  Is there anything worse?

  2. Pantano is one of the best of the best.
What a loss to the USMC-and our Nation.

  3. sad indeed.
a prime example of *why* recruiting numbers are down.

  4. You’re absolutely right, Doll, and Allan’s right about bringing the MSM to heel by boycotting their advertisers.  And don’t stop at staying away.  Let the advertisers know you’re doing it, and let them know why.  One single pinprick by itself isn’t so much, but when the pinpricks add up, then…

    wink

  5. I don’t know that these few singular incidents have caused recruitment numbers to go down so much as the constant barrage of bad press by the media.  Why join when the country (MSM) has no respect for your job - especially when your life is on the line.  As well, refusing to allow military recruiters on campuses has severely limited recruitment.  How campuses get away with that and still receive federal funding just infuriates me.  Why doesn’t Bush step up to the plate on that and do something like cut the funding!  Sometimes Bush’s singularity makes me mad as hell.

Soldiers are heroes.  Period.  If the MSM could bring themselves to laud them as such instead of using them to get at Bush, things would be very different.

  6. I agree, Phoenix, but I don’t expect those MSM skunks to change their stripes.  All they care about is undoing the electoral verdict in their own version of a putsch.  And in their eyes, the end justifies the means.

  7. ”...the ends justify the means.” What a sorry state to think some of those means result in the death of soldiers.  It is beyond vile.  Beyond reprehensible.  It does mince up closely to unconscionable.

  8. Not to mention high treason.

  9. The MSM would sell their own mothers into prostitution if it meant taking down President Bush.  I agree with Allan and Tanny. We must boycott their advertisers, or at least threaten to do so.  On my new blog, I have email and snail mail addresses for a bunch of them.  (Sorry for the shameless plug) I put them up there so people could write, email or call them up to voice their displeasure.  Check it out when you have a chance:

  10. And regarding Ilario Pantano, I think that whoever was responsible for putting him through this whole mockery of a trial should be court martialed.

  11. Either they don’t care what happens when they attack the military in an effort to get at the President or it’s part of their master plan to destroy the military so “we can all live in peace and harmony ever after”.

Stupid bastards don’t realize what would happen if we didn’t have a military. They have no concept of how the world works.

For example, if we weren’t operating twelve carrier battle groups and any number of smaller naval groups there’d be no sea trade because of pirates, independent or state supported.

We’ve been shouldering most of that load since WW2 and the Brits had it before us. Another thankless task.

Who would chase out a Saddam type the next time a Kuwait type country got invaded? Not the U.N. and certainly not the Euros. It won’t be our socialist friends to the north either. They have to rent Russian aircraft to move their disaster response team around.

These fools don’t think that far ahead to see the consequences of their actions and have no idea of history.

Yep, it would be nice to live in a peaceful world, ideal even, but there are just too many dickhead dickhead in this world and the only thing standing between them and us is our military.
