I can just see all those Americans boycotting a sheeps intestine stuffed with barley, oats and sawdust, not to mention the other Scottish dietary staple the deep fried mars bar!
I’m surprised you or Drew didn’t cover this story earlier. Oh and JayD I submit that the surrender monkey depicted looks more like that horse’s anus Alex Salmond.The release of Al-Megrahi has opened up a can of worms. My view is that he should have remained in jailed till he bought the farm. He had an outstanding appeal against the conviction and there are those such as the following who claimed he was “fitted up” and that the real villains are the Syrians and the Iranians after the US shot down an Iranian passenger jet in the Gulf. My view is that he should have had his day in court if he really had a genuine case for an appeal.

I can’t in all honesty support the idea of letting him out and I believe this will have a negative impact on Gordon Brown and the Labour party since they are responsible for allowing Scotland to have it’s own tin pot government. Ultimately it could bring about a Parliament for England only where the jocks have no more say in the running of Englaish affairs. Blair was teh architect of all this nonsense in the first place. The Labour party relies very heavily on Scottish MPs to prop up their rotting corpse of a government in Westminster since most people in England vote Conservative. Long term it will damage the Labour party as more idiots will vote for the Scottish National Party. Hopefully this will lead to the break up of Britain and England can then stop subsidising the Scots and let them pay their own way for a change.
As it happens I am reading a book on the history of the Royal Navy in the 17th and 18th Century. One of the principal reasons for the Act of Union in 1707 was the Darien Scheme which effectively bankrupted Scotland…

Three hundred years later the scumbag socialists give Scotland a degree of autonomy. Then their piss pot banks start making hostile takeovers of well established properly run English banks. Alex Salmond the leader of the nationalists crows that along with Ireland, Iceland and Norway the Scots can form an “arc of prosperity.” Then the world catches a cold and once again England has to bail out Scotland. I would like to think that the Tories would cut Scotland adrift once and for all but it wont happen.
I’m sure the authorities are listening to every word this guy has to say, watching and following him around like a blanket. Good thing, he’s proabably a suicide bomber in waiting, if not listened to 100% of the time. Probably making his meals too, cutting that 3 months down to 1 would cut costs termendously!

As for covering the story earlier. On reflection I guess we could have. Many others have.There’s so much going on all the time and honestly there are too many times I’m so tired it’s all I can do to post what I do.

There’s been mostly outrage in the press here of course, except for a few ppl on panel shows I heard on the Beeb saying it was right to let him out.
Then there have been a few ppl quoting Jesus about loving our enemies and forgiveness blah,blah. Not in me to love or forgive terrorists.
And then yesterday somebody writing in the Mail I think, comes up with this bizarre notion that Pan-Am 103 was payback for the Iran plane shot down. OK, I can see that knowing how our enemies think. But he was also saying that the American Navy skipper fired on a civilian airliner intentionally. That really got my goat. No way an American ship’s capt. would do that, knowing he was firing on a civilian plane.
Whole thing pisses me off to a point where I think if I try hard I can ignore it all. But of course that’s nonsense and I can’t ignore it.Much thanks for input. It’s always informative and always welcome.

I think there is alot more going on here than just the Scottish nationalists sticking two fingers up to the US. I think if you did a poll of Scottish people the overwhelming majority would have preferred Al Megrahi to be jailed till he died. However a couple of months back Tony Blair’s bosom buddy Peter Mandleson (Google slimy scumbag, you should get a few hundred thousand hits) met with one of Gaddafi’s sons and they have thrashed out a deal. Lo and behold BP get a contract to explore for oil in Libya. I am not naieve, this sort of thing happens with all governments, but Labour have turned it into an art form. Gordon Brown can say “It was nae me” till he’s blue in the face. I still don’t believe him or any of the scumbags currently running Britain.
I was a cop for Syracuse and am a Syracuse University alum. The week before this hit the news, we went up to the Lockerbie Memorial outside SU’s Hall of Languages to read the names of those 35 SU students again. I contacted the Scottish Affairs Office to let them know just how pissed off I am.
I imagine most of the Scottish people agree with me but I am about at the point where I don’t care. What were these assholes thinking? That we’d just roll over and say “Oh Gorsh! Dagnabit them arabs skunked us agin!”
