  1. I don’t see the problem. Sue if you want for false advertising, but you’re an idiot if you buy property without touring it first.

As for being next to a nuke plant, I’ve no problem with it. I spent six years as a reactor operator in the US Navy. Nuke plants are as safe, if not safer, than coal-oil-gas fired plants. See Three-Mile-Island. A worst-case scenario showed that American engineered safe-guards worked.

    Compare Chernobyl.

  2. And on top of that Chris, they can run a very short extension cable to the thing and leach free power. I mean who would notice???HEHE

  3. Nearly £250k is a bit steep. No doubt they would have liked to have got more but “stamp duty” (tax) goes from 1% of the price to 3% on properties over £250k. I have been round Dungeness power plant on a tour. It is very interesting. They also have 24x7 armed police so it’s pretty secure, but Dungeness itself is pretty bleak. It’s all flat reclaimed land and quite a way from civilisation plus it’s surrounded by sheep shaggers.

  4. I’ll wager the buyer is either an enviro-nut planining a massive civil lawsuit for non-existent radiation damages, or a terrorist. They did say it was a local, though. Perhaps and enviro-terrorist friend of James Hansen?
