  1. Silly Drew, its just a celebration of the female teachers getting a fresh look at the fresh meat avaliable in the new classes.
    LOL

  2. Nice Rich K.

Too bad some of the female teachers way back when I was in school weren’t as liberated.

I’m sure some of them were plain horny for the teenage sausage, but it wasn’t the 1950’s style to cosy up to their students.

    Alas!

  3. Fireworks are illegal here - but somehow two homes in the neighborhood (two over, it’s his grandchildren - who are teenaged) - mange to have plenty of them for about 10 days worth of annoyance, worry (it was very hot & dry on the 4th - and back behind the one house is the nature preserve which they haven’t cut but once in the 8 years we’ve been here). We find the residue in our flowerbeds and even occasionally on the roof.

But given how packed we are (like sardines) and that many houses here are holding multiple generations - it is relatively quiet. We get blessed with WEBN fireworks for the Labor Day weekend - but otherwise it is just New Years and the 4th.

  4. I think it would be nice if the HDC had a little more community involvement and let us normos know about it ahead of time.

  5. Fireworks are illegal here

    Call the cops, wardmama4.

Or are the cops as lazy and incompetent as the Irish police?

  6. Heck they even do fireworks here to cheer Graduations. Birthdays. Guy Fawkes Day. New Year.
And whatever else is left to celebrate.  Hasn’t been as bad this past year as in other years. Had a lot of rain too this year. And they always start really late. Somewhere after 10pm.

  7. I think I need to make clear, what I wrote above is in ref. to private houses in the area. Not just the organized public displays. Like the army base down the road that hosts really big displays a couple of times a year. Or maybe it’s three. ? I forget.

  8. So what you’re saying is that, while guns are illegal, fireworks aren’t?

Can you buy the larger display pieces that are called mortars over here? The ones that shoot a shell up 100 meters or so and then it blows up into a star burst. I’m thinking a couple of those, a short thick steel pipe, a few 1” lead balls ... instant home defense firearm.

  9. So what you’re saying is that, while guns are illegal, fireworks aren’t?
