1. Yep, that’s true.  Which is why I avoid it at all costs.  I received a call about my 30 year high school reunion a while back.  I said “wow has it been that long?” and they said “Yes can you believe it?” And I said,” yeah thanks for screwing up my life, I’d almost forgotten you arrogant bastards and now you’ve brought it all back.  I hated you all back then, and on reflection, I think I hate you even more now.  Take me off the list and go to hell!” I didn’t like high school much.  Why would I want to spend an evening with a bunch of people who treated me like shit for 3 years?  Fuck nostalgia.  I loved those songs though.

2. Sorry I hit a nerve grayjohn,

   My best friends, few they be, were high school buddies.

   Yes, many treated me like sh*t then, but at the twenty-year-reunion me and wife were making nice with the class bully, who was now a decent businessman, married/with children.

   I can’t tell you how many times he would beat me up in high school. Mostly because I stood up for my friends. He told me that my standing up and taking the beating actually made a difference to him as an adult. ‘Would Christopher stand up for them?’ he would ask himself.

   So, getting beat up for your friends back in high school DID make a difference!

   Hurt like hell at the time! And the ‘friends’ involved tended to fade away and not support you.

3. Taxi is a song I always used to crank up when it popped on the radio.That guy had a way with lyrics that really tugged at your inner Id,at least mine.
   Personally i never have been to a HS reunion in all my 35 years since saying bye bye to the old alma matter.Hell I have only seen 5 of any of the entire 250 strong class in all these years since. Too many new faces to see to bother with the old ones was how I saw life. Anyway, Harry was one of the best for sure.
