hasn’t Dirty Dave just admitted that he’s guilty of multiple counts of sexual harassment?
Hang on there. We really don’t know for certain. Yet. I mean. Nobody has come forward and said so or sued him for that. And very often there are young ladies that make it known with no 2nd guessing that they are available. Which isn’t to say he never initiated things.
Btw ... Maybe it’s just me but I never found him very funny. I guess my tastes ran to Jack Benny and WC Fields and Alan King etc.
I’m not sure about all this.
1. Good for him for beating the ‘media’ to the punch. It is always better to confess one’s own dirty deeds than to have them exposed. Even if the exposure is pending.
2. I’m not sure this is a harassment sort of event. The staffer does not seem to have been manipulated into the affair, so far. There may be a divorce in the future or not. Face it, Entertainment marriages in general are not known for high standards of fidelity and longevity. This infidelity may or may not have any impact on his marriage. Good possibility he will provide a nice retirement package for the staffer in question.
3. Doesn’t Mr. Letterman have a standing practice of making jokes about other people with marital fidelity issues?
Perhaps he should have Governor Mark Sanford, Governor James McGreevey and Governor Eliot Spencer on as a panel discussion group of his activities?
All in all, Mr. Letterman is a comedian and entertainment (that is to say ‘fluff’) talk show host. I find some of his stuff funny (but I don’t ever watch him anymore), his “Top Ten List” rather humorous, his politics predictably and ignorantly Liberal and his opinions and private meaningless.
Life goes on.
Libs are NEVER guilty of sexual harassment. Remember, we were told that it all depends on the meaning of the word “is” and the meaning of the term “sexual harassment” - unless the harasser is a conservative or republican.
