Where’s my Iraqi crude???
ztucka, Roooooomsfeld took it and gave it to the Joooooooos.
Hah!
Seriously, though, Vilmar is right. We have plenty of oil for the forseeable future, and the market proves that fact. By the time we are running short of oil, science and industry will have long solved the problem of a viable, renewable, or alternative energy source.
The government is not the answer, the private sector is. I cannot imagine such companies as Gen. Motors, Ford, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota, Boeing, Lockheed, every freight company and retailer or wholesalerthey service and the US government willing to throw in the towel JUST BECAUSE WE ALL OF A SUDDEN RAN OUT OF OIL! If you believe that shit, you are an idiot of the first water.
The only reason there isn’t a deluge of alternative energy modes of transportation (duh?!?) is, there isn’t any need to build them yet, and with no demand for them, there is no logical economic reason for any company to do so. This fact is the essence of what drives loony liberal leftists nuts. Capatilism works, and works very well. Companies exist to make profits, and when the vacuum in the transportation market created by lack of oil becomes eventual, many enterprising *private* companies will come up with solutions to the problem which will allow them to remain profitable. Count on it.
Like Vilmar, I am getting a little tired of the same old shit from the leftist, statist assholes out there.
