After further consideration as to the proper response to the arrogant barbarians in Iran, the following will be vulgar. Those of delicate disposition are advised to skip to the next comment. However, a close look at my avatar should provide the basic concept.

I think the President should respond to this, I really do. And I know exactly what he should say:
“Leaders of Iran, you are a sovereign nation, and we respect that. We do not wish to be misconstrued as claiming the right to tell you what laws you may and may not pass. Pass what laws you will to ensure the welfare of your own citizens, and you won’t hear a peep from us.
HOWEVER…
Be advised, the first time any Iranian citizen kills an American citizen in the enforcement of this law outside Iran’s borders, the US will treat it as much more than merely an act of war. The US will treat it as a mandate to utterly destroy every vestige of the Iranian government as currently constituted. Every single government employee will be hunted down and killed. Every single person who was connected with the government from the time this law was passed will be subject to our retribution. There will be no exceptions, no exemptions, no excuses, no trial, no mercy, and no statute of limitations. We will hound every last member of the Iranian government to their graves. EVERY ONE.
All actions have consequences. What I outlined above will be the consequences of this the first time it involves Americans outside your borders. You are free to do as you will. I suggest you think carefully before you commit yourselves to such a law.”
