Leaving Home

On the off chance anybody checks out the Left Coast and can’t escape in time to eat their meals elsewhere, I know a number of good suggestions I might list if people are interested.

  1. Welcome to flyover country smile
We’re just across the Ohio River from you, just southeast of Louisville, KY.
Whereabouts in OH will you be? We’ve only been in Cincinnati (Kings Island amusement parks visits and concerts), Cleveland and Columbus (concerts) but have never had a bad time.

  2. Welcome to Ohio! I live in Ne Ohio, so if you are in the area..  If you have a CCW from your previous abode it is good in Ohio, we now recognize all states CCW permits. OH..

  3. I always loved driving through Ohio, the major highways were smooth black tar.
I think you’ll get to experience the fun of Lake Effect snow, that’s fun. :D

Glad to see you escape from the People’s Republic of California. Enjoy your newfound liberty!

  4. We need to all meet - I did not know so many were so close - jackal and I are in the great cesspool of Cincinnati (on the bastard step child - Westside). I want so terribly to slip across the river into KY. But alas we are mostly jobless (I finally passed probation on a PT job from home) and with two disabled guys - mostly home bound (other than doctors appts.) And stuck in an overpriced home we can barely afford anymore. Much less dump on a horrible market.

I actually live on land that my grandparents owned (it was a farm). After the boys were grown - my grandfather moved out to the westside hinter lands and bought 3 or 4 farms (one was only 10 acres - so no Southfork or King Ranch going on) and then we alls became ‘rich’ (so all my friends told me) as they were sold off until we were down to the last one. Which my Mom sold in bits and then squandered the money pretending to be rich - not realizing she would live forever and actually need it.

It is funny how life goes. But I think that the real opportunities for the average guy/immigrant to become rich are gone - sold down river by the intentional income draining tax scams called social programs by the DC politicians that have done nothing except make everyone not them - poor. And angry.

Oh bother - I really shouldn’t online ‘talk’ with my sister in law before coming here - it always puts me in a bad mood - and the sad thing is - we have so much in common. She just believes she is right and won’t listen to anyone about anything (most of the time I let her brother take her on).

Did you hear Trump in WI - great stuff - once he gets the hang of a teleprompter - he will wipe the hildabeast off the map.

  5. Smart Move T-man, hope you settle in nicely in the land of My Forefathers ( Moms whole gang are from the Sandusky area of Ohio), it was Great Granpa who sod off west to Walla Walla back in the 20’s.
But I shall be staying here in “New North Cali” as Oregon is now known among all the Fruits and Nuts that have taken it over the last 40 years from, where else,Califuckthemall.
So far we are lucky, the State is actually too poor to create the HellHole the Cali folks have made and no amount of stupid will change that fact.No new serious businesses are clamoring to come here and if it ain’t “Green” it won’t get a green light anyway from our dumb cunt Governor Brown anyway.” Notice our Guv’s name is the same as the Cali Moonbeem? Coincidence? Not likely as we have had Dem Guvs for almost 29 years now.
Last R party guy was a Persian Carpet Salesman last in office in 1987( No Joke, Atiyea Carpets,Look it up).
Well, anyway, Glad to hear your out of the Craptastic state of Delusion Know as Cali T-man. Enjoy your new digs.

  8. I know Anderson - we go over there once in a while - love the library - that is the one institution that will get me just about anywhere. My daughter loves to look for interesting places to shop - so that is also some of the reasons we have gone over there the gps sends into KY to get over there!

The tax thing - just before one of the midterm elections - when once again taxes in Hamilton Cnty were on the ballot - one of the city people pushing it ‘accidentally’ said - we pay the highest taxes in the Nation. What was reality at the time was - proportionally Hamilton Cnty pays one of the highest tax rates in the nation. Gotta fund the city you know - punish everyone who doesn’t live there, fled there or actually has a job!
