A “hurdy-gurdy”?
And we have a winner, in less than an hour!!! Excellent work Steve.
The 60s tune The Hurdy Gurdy Man was by Donovan, and was used as the theme for a 1971 movie about the Zodiac murders called, dur, The Zodiac Killer.

The 2nd link has the raw version of the tune I posted as a video, and the finished one is the .mp3 I snagged.
The YouTube link is to a song that I thought had a bit in common with the old folksong I posted on earlier. Judy Collins did an a capella version way back when, when the Greenpeace guys were just getting revved up. The song is 100+ years older than their use of it.
See? That’s why I love this blog. Now I’ve learned what a hurdy-gurdy is.
