Well said Drew.
I saw a blurb on this last week, along with her photo from her younger day as an actress. Not an especially good one as I understand it, but the photo of her in costume is probably the only reason the paper ran the story.
In the short piece she is quoted as saying that she will be very happy to be arrested in pursuit of their cause. As I’ve always maintained, what’s the point of arrest and release so they can do it all over again? I think she and her friends should have been taken along for the ride in the ship’s brig if they have one, fed on bread (stale)and water, then left on an ice flow out there somewhere. Or simply tossed overboard. Can’t stand those SOBs.
Two weeks of empty ocean, a weekend in Hawaii, two more weeks of empty ocean,
Nothing boring about being at sea, Drew. Plenty of work on the ship, and if you have down time and like to star gaze, the view at sea is spectacular. Especially south of the equator where you can see constellations you can’t see up north. The Southern Cross and the Coalsack are beautiful. And it’s so dark at sea that you can actually see the colors of the stars with the naked eye. You can see both Magellanic Clouds.
BTW, isn’t Lucy Lawless a Cylon? Better keep her locked up!
I sort of wondered, what would the situation have been if the crew had simply ignored them. Left them up on top and headed for the open sea around Antarctica.
When I say ignored, I mean completely, no food, no water, no clothing, no shelter or safety equipment, just leave them there for the duration and work around them. Keep an eye open to make sure they don’t mess with anything and otherwise ignore them.
How many do you think would have still been alive when the ship reached the job site? How many of those fools would still have all their appendages after being around the machinery? How many would be dumb enough to try the stunt a second time?
