"Great minds ...........” & all that - I posed the same question on a Marine Message Board this morning ............ first off, who took the ASVAB {Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery} for her?  Her drill instructors didn’t notice ‘problems’?  Then, her supervising NCOs didn’t document her inabilities?  Gimme a break - I don’t think ANYONE involved in Abu Ghraib should have faced court-martial - at the very worst, they should have had NJP {Non-Judicial Punishment} administered, for taking and PUBLICIZING the pictures .................

6. Oxygen dep at birth-ataxia athetosis.
   I knw that because I suffered it too.
   I’m adhd, have asperger’s syndrome and am even LEFT-HANDED because of it.
   I joined the USMC right out of high school and though I was given an ELS(Entry Level Seperation) due to medical reasons the reason i washed out was because I GAVE UP!
   It might have taken me 6 month to get out of boot camp but even with what I came in with I could have suceeded but I was my worst enemy.
   Just because someone has a “learning disability” doesn’t mean they’re not military material.

   I do think the Dr. is letting her cop out.
   Being LD and knowing right from wrong are anything but mutually exclusive.

   Lynddie did wrong. Now she needs to take her licks like an adult and loose the victim card!

7. Answer for skipper: All the records on that stuff were likely ‘juvenile records’ and sealed when she turned 18.
