  1. As I wrote here last week:

WARNING! The post below may be illegal in the State of Washington. Even reading it may be illegal if you reside in Washington.

I don’t gamble at all, don’t even know how to play poker. Never gambled on-line. But I hear that there are some good, reputable on-line gambling sites, and some sites that teach about gambling and link to the reputable sites.

I think I broke state law with that. See, a new law prohibiting on-line gambling in the Great Green Nanny State includes transmitting INFORMATION about on-line gambling, and the state gambling commission says even DISCUSSING it is illegal if you comment on good or bad on-line gambling sites.

See here, but, beware the article - it may be illegal to read it. No shit.:

You might try IntegrityCasinoGuide. Oh, not only is that site taken down because of this law, this comment section will not even allow me to submit this post with its name in it if I put in the www or the .com parts!

Maybe this will get by the censors: http://www.fullcontactpoker.com Ah, that seems to work.

Of course, this is the same state that prohibits positive editorial discussion of political issues, if the commenters are from the right, without the political campaign having to claim an “in-kind” contribution that must be valued according to the cost of advertising for every minute the issue was discussed!

    Gotta go underground, now.

  2. And just how is the governor proposing to monitor online poker?  Are they going to sniff the internet for cash transactions and raid houses?

“Freeze!  You’re under arrest for on-line gambling.  Step away from the keyboard!”

“Wait, I’m not gambling!  I’m trying to outbid someone else on this ebay item!”

What a crock of crap.  Once this gets going, they are either going to have to build more jails to house these hardened gambling criminals or let the rapists and murderers out to prevent overcrowding.

  3. I live in Washington and am not at all Surprised that Queen Christine and her ilk are trying to screw us again.

This is basically an act of extortion.

They don’t make money off online gambling, so they will make it illegal, BUT, just watch, if an online poker URL comes to Washington State and says, hey, we’ll give you 10%, they’ll make that online casino legal in a heartbeat.

These asshats want their protection money, and if they don’t get it, then they will shut you down in any way possible.

The “elected” criminals in Olympia, are just showing their true colors, month after month, I am hoping that the moonbats will FINALLY get sick of these freaks as well.
