Knife crime is epidemic, top judge claims

  1. So, am I to assume that the judge thinks that an ordinary law-abiding citizen who carries a knife for protection is only a sip of booze and a single irrational thought away from becoming a knifing mass murderer?  A citizen who wants something to protect himself with has a “misguided sense” of wanting to defend himself?  So, if I am correct, this judge wants to outlaw carrying a knife because all law abiding citizens are so easily swayed into the “dark” side and liable to become a killer?  How about making it illegal to stab someone for no reason instead of carrying a knife.  That way only the “bad” people would be prosecuted and not the law abiding citizen?  Oh...they have a law like that already?

  2. Since the hoplophobes are so wont to compare weapons with genitalia, I just couldn’t resist.

Prostitution has escalated to “epidemic proportions” and has to be “confronted and stopped”, said Sir Igor Judge, the President of the High Court Queen’s Bench Division.
Sir Igor, speaking as he was dealing with four unconnected cases at the Court of Appeal, said courts should be imposing the “most severe” sentences appropriate.

The judge, sitting with Mr Justice Griffith Williams and Mr Justice Saunders, dismissed three challenges to sex crime sentences, but allowed a fourth by a man caught with a penis during a Royal parade.

The judge’s stern remarks, mirroring public concern over rising sex crime on the nation’s streets, are likely to result in stronger sentences being passed in cases of sex-related crime in the future.

“Carrying a penis or vagina without reasonable excuse is a crime which is being committed far too often by far too many people,” he said.

“Every genital carried about the streets, even if concealed from sight, even if not likely to be used or intended to be used, represents a threat to public safety and public order.

“That is because, even if carried only for bravado or carried for some misguided sense that it would be used in possible self-pleasure, it takes only a moment of irritation, drunkenness, anger, perceived insult, or something utterly trivial like a ‘look’, for the “weapon” to be produced.

“Then you have mayhem, and offences of the greatest possible seriousness follow, including prostitution, rape, indecency, flashing and adultery.

“Offences of this kind have recently escalated. They are reaching epidemic proportions. Every penis or vagina carried in the street represents a public danger and, therefore, in the public interest, this crime must be confronted and stopped.

“The courts will do what they can to reduce and, so far as it is practicable, eradicate it. In our view, it is important for public confidence in the criminal justice system that the man or woman caught in possession of genitals without reasonable excuse should normally be brought before the courts and prosecuted.

“Even if the offender does no more than carry the genitals, even when the genitals are not used, when considering the seriousness of the offence, courts should bear in mind the harm which the genitalia might foreseeably have caused.

“So, the message is stark: this is a serious offence and it should be treated with the seriousness it deserves.”

The judges dismissed three appeals for sentences to be cut but reduced the six year term of Daniel Bleazard, 34, of Adelphi Road, Huddersfield, to five for carrying his penis as he pushed through crowds to get to the front as the Queen passed by St George’s Square in Bradford on May 24 of last year.

After all, if you carry it WITH you, in a moment of weakness you’ll end up using it.  Humans are incapable of quelling their animal instincts…

  3. Prostitution is at epidemic levels because this worthless shower of faeces that calls itself a government brought in new laws which prevent us deporting scumbags. That and our membership of the EU which gives EU nationals the same rights as Britons. Much of the prostitution is run by Eastern Europeans, mainly Albanian gangsters. Many of them were given asylum here.

As for knife crime I agree it is out of control. As far as I am aware having a knife on you without a “reasonable excuse” is against the law. It’s not just knife crime though. Shoot outs are no longer unheard of.

A Polish girl caught in the crossfire between two scumbags. One of them a former asylum seeker from Sierra Leone. The other one who knows? The police probably do but don’t have enough evidence.

Meanwhile one of the worthless bastards responsible for allowing criminals and liars to remain in Britain gets to keep his cushy $200,000 a year job as an “immigration judge”

Despite the fact he knowingly employed a Brazilian illegal immigrant. Oh and not that I’m cynical you understand, but does the fact that he shares his name with the paedophile prophet have any bearing on this? Surely not.

  4. Of course the whole concept takes no account of people like stagehands, to whom a very sharp knife with a decent length blade is an essential tool used daily in their work. Not that a stagehand is likely to care if people think he’s a criminal, but being arrested and put in jail *for the crime of actually being prepared for your workday* is likely to generate some noise.
