  1. ANybody leaving near this piece of shit sign got a few grenades??  Just a couple of well placed pineapples will do. Hopefully there will be a couple of fags near that will be taken out at the same time.  Sorry but the only good fag is a dead....well you get the idea. Go to Iran and try stuffing the sausage in the wrong place. Bet it’d be the last!!!

  2. I do not approve of this type of billboard advertising............That being said, one of my dearest friends is a gay man........I also know his partner..........My friend is so special to me - one of the things I have learned from having a gay friend is that he respects me & no matter what conversations we have, he would would never betray a confidence & we have had many confidences over the years.............Whatever we say in private to each other remains private - I love him dearly & respect him for who he is..........I know I can call on him whenever the need arises & he is always available for a shoulder to cry on..............

  6. I have nothing against their “alternative lifestyle” because ultimately it’s Darwinism writ large. However it sickens me in my present occupation where it seems it has to be positively promoted along with cross dressing, gender bending and promoting ethnic minorities at the expense of everyone else.

  7. Cambridge Mass is the absolute center of the Whacky Leftist Liberalista Shrieking Fulminating Rabid Moonbat Universe. San Fran looks as bedcrock conservative as Muskogee Oklahoma, when it is compared to this Masshole Burg… This is the center of gravity for such “notables” as Ted Zeppelin Kennedy, John Botox Kerry, Mikhail Sergeivich Dukakis, Barney Frank, Gerry Studds, etc, etc, etc… What was once the “Cradle of Liberty” is now the breeding ground for all the nutcakes, the flakes and the fruit-loops. Call it Granola-town, it’s more fitting.

Truly a peace monkey pacifier dickhead shit Hole.

I know, I had the misfortune of living there between February 1972 and July 1976 - I moved to New Hampshire on July 4, 1976, the Bicentennial. The timing was not merely coincidental, it was for me a perfect time to flee the Dukakis Dicktatorship.

If these folks want to play Hide The Salami with each other, in the privacy of their own homes, that is OK with me, but I don’t want it thrown in my face at every turn.  barf

  8. I still having trouble getting a handle around if they are so proud of who/what they are, why do they have to disguise themselves as “gay” rather then “homosexual”?  (I) Must be getting old…

  9. This makes me laugh.  It would be peachy keen with y’all if there were two naked women wrapped in a flag showing lots of cleavage with long flowing hair and licking pouty lips advertising beer.  Can y’all see the slogan?  Come with us.  Beer.com

If y’all are against public displays then be against the whole kaboodle.  Don’t moan bout the ones that make you pant and drool like dogs in a butcher’s window.  Do you think everyone likes to see half naked women on a billboard with orgasmic facial expressions or advertisments with cutie buttcheeks and spackle cracks in glossy?  Nope.  There are hetero women in this country too and they ain’t all interested in airbrushed t&a.  The world really doesn’t spin around on a penile axis.  Hard to believe, I know.  Most people ignore adverts if it don’t apply to them.  If you aren’t interested keep on walking.  The advertisment is for different folks.  Do y’all give a damn about breast cancer adverts?  Or Tampax Pearl?  No.  That’s right so you ignore it.  If it isn’t you its talking to then don’t stare while your complaining.  Do what everyone else does who drive past titan bosoms and crater cleavage or Turn or Burn signs every day.

Talk about being self absorbed.  A woman’s got other things on her mind, we don’t always wanna know what gets y’all hot and bothered every second of the day, but y’all sure take every opportunity to let people know about it. And here y’all are complaining about one sign that’s outnumbered by hetero jiggle bunnies 100 to 1. I swear y’all think about and talk about Salamis more than the folks actually getting some.

  10. Welcome to the blog, AmiLee. You’re right. I would find nothing wrong with two chicks selling beer. So what? And why should I not be particular about what I like or dislike? The problem I have with your argument is that most of the things you compare this too are natural enticements within the confines of mainstream society. What this billboard portrays is not natural and outside the pale. Would you feel the same way about a billboard advertising NAMBLA or other pedophile groups? I don’t think so.

Advertising for breast cancer research or tampax is also the within mainstream and acceptable, therefore cna be ignored by those whom it doesn’t apply to. And while we’re on the subject, you arrogant, self-absorbed little twit .. I get more than enough. So go take your righteous indignation down the street, if you please.

  11. Thanks for the welcome Skipper.  That was nice of you.  Happy to be here.

I didn’t say you couldn’t like or dislike what you please.  Whatever blows your hair back.  My problem is the indignation over seeing a sensual advert with a suggestive phrase you don’t wanna see, but y’all never consider that there are other folks who don’t want to see the stuff you like.  But they deal.  I know y’all think that its okay to not like this billboard because boobs are okay in 2005.  It wasn’t that way all the time though.  I’m sure our grandmas and granpas are still in shock over skirts above the knee and need a pill everytime they see peekaboo g-strings.  Homosex isn’t common I’ll grant ya that; but I wouldn’t call it unnatural either.  Kind of odd to compare consenting adults to pedophiles.  One is rape of a minor and the other ain’t.  Not the same ballpark.

Ain’t it strange that all ya see in the billboard is sex and what some others see is something more than that?  Ever figure that y’all might be wrong and overly sensitive about stuff that has little to do with you?  The dudes aren’t even doing anything.  I’ve seen more skin and sex in Men’s Health.

I know I hit a nerve with y’all with the comment on getting some.  Kind of was my point.  Kind of chaffes to get judged on a whole lot of nothing.  All I had to do was say something vague about the hetero male sexuality and y’alls comment on the Salami and you got riled.  Just saying that I think many folks are upset because they take the advert personal like just by knowing homosex exists it affects their maleness.  And I’ll guess that y’all would find that cartoon “The Ambigously Gay Duo” , i can’t remember the name of the show, a laugh a minute.  ‘cause its okay to laugh about it, poke fun, and makes jokes but heaven forbid if the message is serious.

  12. AmiLee, if you can compare homosexual lifestyles to beer then I can compare homosexuals to pedophiles. All are odd when grouped together so neither of us are using valid comparisons or we both are. Choose.

As for that particular billboard, I see two suggestively naked men wrapped in the American flag. That is wrong on more than one level, I assure you. As for me being wrong, hell it wouldn’t be the first time but I know that what I see disgusts me.

As for “hitting nerves”, that is OldCatMan’s job. He’s much better at it than you.

Homosexuals and their existence don’t bother or affect me at all. I have had several close friends over the years who were homosexual (both male and female). They had their lifestyle and I had mine. We never tried to proselytize or rub each other’s face in our differences as this billboard does. Not to put too fine a point on it but my objection here is not about homosexuals but about this “advert”.

Your defense of this “advert” seems to me to possibly have an underlying agenda. Do you perhaps work for the PR firm which threw this up? Perhaps you live in the area where this billboard resides? Horrors! Could you possibly be a Massachusetts Moonbat? Come out of the closet, AmiLee. Inquiring minds want to know ....

    LOL

  13. Just because I have a difference of opinion doesn’t make me a blog fraud nor some sort of “evile infultrator”.  By the way Skipper, I was comparing advertising technqiue to advertising technique.  Can the advertisers help it if folks have dirty minds?  It got y’all looking at it didn’t it?  I say it was successful in that regard.  Now, if y’all will excuse me I need to wash the billboard glue off my hands.  It was a rough day at work and all putting up more of those adverts just to earn a buck smirk

  14. "Homosex isn’t common I’ll grant ya that; but I wouldn’t call it unnatural either.” ??????????

  15. Sorry AmiLee, but, aside from your arguments not being anywhere close to valid or cogent, your over-use of “ya’ll” (8 times in one post) and other redneck grammar prevents me from taking you too seriously.  You’re semi-literate at best.

  16. Hi Ratpatrol..

I’m in NH too. NH was at one time a nice conservative state, an oasis of sanity between Vermont, Maine and Taxachusetts. Now the Mass-holes have invaded the state and everything from Concord south might as well succeed to Kennedy land.

The transition to moonbat was complete in the last election when the state went from red to blue.  shut eye

  17. I figured someone would comment on the y’all (and then not even spell the slang correctly).  That’s okay though.  I hadn’t expected any useful discourse from anyone except the person who posted the original piece.  Just because you failed to have anything to say in rebuttal that was relevant and invited debate, and instead relied on ad hominem tactics, Illegitimi Non Carborundum, doesn’t make my argument invalid.  Take care to not fall into the traps of your own making.  I’ve laid my case, said what I wanted to say, and had a good chuckle here and there.  I don’t care if you haven’t changed your opinion, but I hope at least you re-evaluate your tactics to make your case stronger when you attempt to express it intelligently.  By the way, never underestimate your opponent.  I expected a little more actual debate rather than heel digging and posturing, but that’s fine.  Like I said.  I got a chuckle out of it.

  18. AmiLee, we bow to your superior mentality (NOT). Your arrogance is a pleasant diversion from an otherwise dull day discussing world events. How erudite you must be to create such a tempest in a teapot over this trivial issue. Personally, I don’t see where you have made any valid points whatsoever other than to accuse the heterosexual men here of hypocricy. You began this whole thread with an Ad Hominem attack. What did you expect?

You also have to consider that we get the occasional “one-hit-wonder” troll here who comes leaping in on a single topic and doggedly starts a cat-fight over a single issue while ignoring all the other content and debate going on here. We have learned long ago to be wary of these minor skirmishes by anonymous pundits as they come in with pre-determined concepts and dig their heels in on a single issue purely to distract .. never to educate.

Come down off your high horse (so to speak) and use a little common sense. As for the “Y’all”, I find the Southern accent an affectation that is normally used by residents of Massachusetts and other New Englanders who tend to look down upon anyone not within the confines of their little “enlightened” communities, particularly Southerners. With all due respect, there is just too much about you and your manner that literally screams “fraud”.

Perhaps I am wrong. Maybe there is more to you than this obvious desire to inflate your ego at others’ expense. Give me one good reason why you think outdoor advertising should contain content that is way outside the mainstream of society, even in this enlightened age we live in. Bear in mind that these large outdoor signs are visible to children as well as adults and spare me the argument that homosexual lifestyles are “normal”. That is a biological conflict that cannot be reasonably accepted by anyone. It may be “acceptable” in some quarters but can never be considered “normal” under any circumstances. The biological structure of humans stops that argument dead in its tracks.

There are many things our modern society considers “acceptable” that I personally do not consider to be “normal” or even “rational”. This is only one issue of many. That is why I started this blog, nearly two years ago. So far, I have seen a growing number of people who feel the same way I do and this blog gives them a chance to speak out. There are no bomb-throwing radicals here and no one here wants to impose our values on anyone. We speak and criticize, as is our right.

You, on the other hand, have a clear right to disagree. You may also criticize my position insofar as your criticism is based on rational argument. Adopting a patronizing attitude gains you nothing .... except a falsely earned “chuckle”.

    cool smirk

  20. All of this palabra and the billboard isn’t even there anymore.  It’s been replaced with a US Navy Billboard.(Insert joke here!) I live 6 blocks away from it, it didn’t bother me.  But the nice folks at Article 8 Alliance (P.O. Box in Waltham, MA) and their friends sure did get riled up.  Google ‘em and you’ll find out who their friends are.  They are busy ironing their “Brown Shirts & Armbands”, washing their sheets and dusting off their maps of Women’s Health Clinics, for the next round of hatred. LOL!!!!!!!
