  1. Would someone please point out to me in the Constitution where the federal government can spend my tax dollars in this fashion?

I suspect that there might be some Louisiana politicos getting ready to do a snatch and run on that $10,000,000,000 and spend it on themselves.  Nagin and the White Cat represent the worst of American politics.  The people of New Orleans and Louisiana voted them into office and must live with their choices.  The rest of us don’t have to deal with their antics though and should cut off all future funding for them immediately so as to make them sit down and make the difficult decisions that they’re totally unwilling to make on their own.

  2. These people disgust me.  Sadly, these same incompetent people will probably be re-elected in the future.

  3. He needs to stand up and shout, “We’re not to blame. We gave you the money. If the people in New Orleans don’t have the money it’s not because the federal government hasn’t done its job; it’s because your local government officials refuse to do theirs.”

Not sure why N.O. was given a hand-out or even a hand-up by the Feds.  It has been revealed to the light of day many times since Katrina that local and state officials have known for decades that N.O. was at risk and never did a thing about it.  They even saw the damned storm coming 2 days out and still did nothing worthwhile.  If you won’t do a thing to help yourselves, why should someone else bail you out of your troubles?  “The Big Easy”?  More like “The Big Sleazy”.
