Just Missed Me

  1. Drew: Colorado has seen its fair share of wild springtime weather too. Denver, the Front Range cities and eastern plains have endured nine straight days of tornadoes, hail, heavy rain, and thundersorms. Today, Tuesday, the high temperature in Denver will break above 80 degrees for the first time this month! Mid-June and the high temperature finally makes it above 80 degrees!

I live in Western Colorado and this part of the state has received lots of rain too, although nothing like you showed in NJ or the Front Range and eastern plains of Colorado. The rain has made the mountain sides very pretty and green, and staved off the wildfires for now. All this rain will make for summer grasses and other vegetation that will eventually dry out and become fuel for wildfires. So far this spring, it has been unseasonably cool and more than the usual amount of rain. Last Sunday, high elevations in Colorado received snow. I’m with you, “global warming?” You can’t prove it by what I’ve seen.

    Signed, Graycat
