This is what happens when you have years of socialist indoctrination. The idea that the government will solve everything for you. It is big brother writ large. Now I fully accept you stand a higher chance of being killed by a firearm in America than you do in Britain. However in the grand scheme of things I would rather live in a country where you can still defend yourself against bad people, compared to a country where you are expected to offer no resistance and are dependant on the “authorities” to come to your aid. The dependance culture is a self fulfilling nightmare. It requires ever larger governments with ever larger tax revenues. Eventually the system will fail, but it will cause a geat deal of misery before it breaks down. When it does the people in Britian with the guns will be the criminals the people without a means to defend themselves will be the ones who suffer.
How often do we have to repeat this time honored comment on owining a gun:"When your life is threatened the police are only minutes away”.But they always spell your name right on the coronors report,Right?

I love the first comment Peiper quoted. The asshat is so benighted he can’t figure out that totally biased CBS’ 60 Minutes completely rigged their made up scenarios to show armed resistance leading to more deaths.

What they don’t realize is that to get a conceal carry - you have to do steps beyond getting a holster. Here it’s a class, a paper test, a shooting test and finally passing a background check. If the instructor is good, you will test a scenario or two and realize how damn LONG it takes to react in a bad and unexpected situation.
IF People were armed - the criminals would be less likely to start these mass shootings and certainly less likely to do individual assaults - as they would NEVER know who is armed and who isn’t. And if you honestly look at these mass shootings (other than the Gifford one) - the majority are in No Gun ‘Safe’ Zones.
Believe me - when I explained to the Petsmart cashier why I was not shopping at the store (sent a letter to Corporate Management - before I realized it wasn’t Corporate policy but a local manager) that while she was worried about a ‘blazing gun battle’ - I wasn’t in any real hurry nor desire to have to pull my gun on anyone either.
I just feel that the 2nd Amendment allows me the RIGHT to be able to defend myself or others if the need arises.
And oh yeah, the three cities with the toughest gun ‘control’ laws (Chicago, D.C. and NYC) have some of the highest violent/gun related crime stats going - so riddle me that one, libs - HOW CAN THAT BE? And the MOST PRO-GUN city (Head of Household MUST own a gun and ammo) has the LOWEST violent/gun crime stats - again - HOW CAN THAT BE?
May the lying liars who want to violate law-abiding American citizens RIGHT instead of EXECUTING these mass murderers - ROT IN HELL.
I might even consider wasting a bullet or two to help that one along.
BTW, (Idiot) Mayor Doomberg was b*tched slapped by New York State - for his call to ‘strike’ - as it is a violation of the law (didn’t I say, might that not be a felony) - so now he’s whinning - ‘I didn’t mean a ‘literal’ strike.’ Then don’t say the word, moroon.
What a big joke. It’s going to get us all killed. At least the law-abiding, employed, religious and family oriented Americans.
