  1. Chris .... New FF upgrade a day or two ago.  I use FFox too but lately have been using Chrome as my default browser.

No problems so far with postings with either. I think Chrome may be somewhat faster then Fox tho.

  2. Just thought of it.  I don’t suppose they have released the FireFox 4.0 yrt have they?
I’ve been reading about it and it was suppose to be released late last year and then they put it off 2wice since then.
    New version here is 3.6.15

  3. I’ve got the FireFox 4 RC. RC = Release Candidate. I believe this would be a ‘beta’ release to find bugs that are not a feature. Not using it.

I still think the problems stems from MacOS 10.6 and Firefox 3.?

    Safari doesn’t have the problem.

  4. I had the same situation with XP and one earlier release of Firefox. Things would not post. By the time I realized it must be the browser, and was creating an email to send to them, a new version came out that fixed that problem.

  5. Sapiens? Never heard of it.  Looks like more of a mouse only launcher… Looking for a powerful searching launcher?  Try the original QuickSilver (Re-released) http://qsapp.com/ - it’s free and with all your posting, I suspect you can type?  QuickSilver was the first launcher to really set the bar with plugins and advanced functionality.  It’s much more than a launcher.

At this rate, OS X 10.7 Lion will ship by the time you get Snow Leopard tweaked… wink

Sapiens is a ‘mouse laucher’. All I had to do was make a ‘circle’ with my mouse and Sapiens would launch. I’ve used it for a few years.

I remember trying QuickSliver some years ago. Didn’t like it. Has it improved? Should I try it again? Does QuickSilver give you the ‘try-before-you-buy’ option?

You suspect I can type. Thank you. I took a quarter-semester of typing back in 1975. My typing served me well in the Navy.

I ended up as a platoon leader. Concurrently I ended up as company yeoman. Typing was the key. Not so much for platoon leader, but for ‘company yeoman’ I had to type up official documents. Platoon leader I earned, and kept, when challenged. (this was unofficial, I did NOT want the Navy to know about it...)

Let’s just say that, as platoon leader, the platoon met in the recreation room.

I was the current platoon leader.

It may be my fault that this happened. Military rules do NOT allow for ‘democracy’. But I allowed it in this case. I was fairly confident that I’d win. My opponent ranted and raved. But he could NOT come up with any instance of me exceeding my authority. He could not come up with any examples of incompetence,

On my side, I had several squids who stood up for me, not just because I followed the rules, they’d come to me for advise in their personal lives. I’d not only given such advice, but, I’d done it ‘off-the-clock’.

I didn’t have to listen at all, but I did. I was the platoon leader.

That, I think, allowed me to give my so-called challenger a platform to politically attack me.

Make no mistake, this was a ‘political’ attack.

Politics, it has been said, is the art of getting along with people. My opponent, in this case, hadn’t learned that. He was thinking I’d back down when confronted with a high school bully.
